There's 5 "big" event this week, so expect the General forum to be filled with MMA.
----------
Guida > Maynard (Guida will be wearing his hair in brades, due to some complaint Maynard filed. Also, people are thinking Maynard will rape Guida for some reason.)
Stout > Fisher
Ebersole > Waldburger
Swanson > Pearson (Hardest bet on the card for me, I love them both.)
Lamas > Hioki (hopefully Hioki doesn't luck box another decision win)
Nijem > Keith
Gambino > Siler (Siler has looked sloppy, and, Joey Gambino sounds like a gangster name. Gambino via bag over head and pistol whipped.)
Jardine > Story (How can you bet against a guy named BROCK + JARDINE???)
Camozzi > Catone
Ramos > Brown (Brown sucks so bad, but he keeps finding that 1 win to hang around.)
Miller > Funch
Pague > Stone (Pague took this fight on 1 weeks notice I think. His last fight was on June 8th, next fight is on June 22nd.)

I really like Guida and believe he is a strong fighter. Not the biggest fan of Maynard (well no real opinion I guess), but when I read the headline for the fight I got a bad taste in my mouth for Guida. I think he is in danger because even though he has good movement, Guida tends to take some shots, and Maynard is quite strong and capable of accurately landing them.

on guida vs maynard some more.. they both have wrestling as one of the strengths of their game (although maynard didn't try to use it at all in any of his last 3 fights if I recall..), and maynard has better credentials and a larger body.
plz someone have an argument for guida, what am I missing? why do you pick guida over maynard?

Well there is an OK arguement that because it's 5 rounds, Guidas insane high pressure pace and cardio will tire gray out and allow guida to barely win the later rounds.
Aside from wrestling, Maynard is the much better striker.
I think Gray is so much better he can pace himself and not exert a ton of energy and still win rounds vs Guida.
I think Gray -310 is about right.

Also apparently Grays camp put in a complaint about Guidas hair, and guida is going to have to braid it

Missed this post.
Stim basically mentioned it.
- Guida pressures his opponents alot, he tests their cardio because he knows he will have better cardio than them 99% of the time and wont ever gas.
- Guida can take a lot of punishment to the head, as he's never been KO/TKO`ed in his 41 fights.
- This is a 5 round fight, and it's widely known that Maynard's cardio is one of the worst at Lightweight, I actually don't remember anyone else who has cardio issues at Lightweight.
- Guida sucks at boxing and GnP, and always tries this overhand right into a fast take down.
- Maynard may be the better striker, but, he only has 2 KO/TKO's in his 13 pro fights. You would think he had more with all the praise people give him on his power. Guida only has 4 KO/TKO's out of his 41 fights.

Yeah I was about to say Clay has a lot of heart and cardio like Edgar, and Edgar > Maynard. But it's really not he same.

maynard is going to handle guida like a big brother little brother type fight. seriously. guida is so overrated. maynards a much better striker, a MUCH better wrestler, and its not like he gassed that bad vs edgar, he just slowed down. and the slowing down only hurt him cause edgar is such a good striker. not to mention hes working with the marinovichs for this fight.
guida just bounces around doing nothing basically and scrambles well but that wont be a factor cause hes never getting it to the ground. this is going to look like maynard vs miller where gray beats the crap out of him for 5 rounds. might even finish.
thats basically the only fight im confident on. waiting for the line to drop before i bet because a bunch of nuthuggers think guida has a chance here

Werdum is tomorrow.
I'm glad so many injuries have happened lately, especially to tomorrow's UFC 147 card, because this whole weekend I'll be studying for finals, which is all next week.

Nice win for Dan Miller. Round 1 was close, Round 2 I gave to Funch cuz of the take down, Round 3 Miller needed to win decisively imo, which he did.
