Hey guys, i've been away from the scene ever since black friday hit and was just wondering if there was any indication of whether or not online poker will legally return to the USA. Who's accepting USA players at the moment? What does the future look like for online USA players? If there's a website you guys could direct me to that has the latest info like this, I'd appreciate it.

Any players in NJ? Are you guys still playing? I drive down to AC (about 1 hr 45 mins for me) maybe once a month, but i'm looking for other options as well.

Merge network is the only option for US players.

How reliable is anything in the US? Not that. Put a bankroll on you're comfortable with losing

Bovada also accepts US players, although the software is designed to irritate regs and multi-tablers and just attract casual fish. The games are incredibly fishy though. You will see players sitting with $400 at 5/10 table. At NL200 most players are minraising limped pots from their SB, donkbetting every raised pot, etc etc.

Bovada games are deader than tupac.

As in right now between nl200 & nl400 including HU, 6max & FR there are 2 games running. 1 6max nl200 & 1 FR nl400.

Thing with Merge is it might of lost 40% of its already small traffic when Lock split ways. So yea ;o

Incorrect, those are simply the only open games. Bovada hides full tables. If you sit around for 15 minutes you should see seats open up here and there. Obviously volume is nothing compared to other sites, and bovada caps you at 4 tables max. Lot of sportsbetters playing there. Last time I was playing some guy didnt even know stars/ftp was gone.

You can download the client and play for play money. It's like a video game, everyone has customizable avatars like an MMO. It runs inside a 3d graphics engine so the camera floats around and players can make their characters do things. Obviously there arent any tells since the avatars just sit there unless someone goes out of their way to make it do something. It's kind relaxing since the graphics are so pretty.

30 days after reading the terms it does say 20 business days so guess i'll be ok. what worried me more was the 2+2 bovada cashout thread, quite a few members and I have received $50-500 for delayed cashouts, just seems kinda sketchy or it could just be good customer service i guess? we'll see..

hero poker is the only place i play at when in usa. i have always recieved every cashout, and the game selection is actually decent for mtters, and the cashgames do have fish etc. theres like 12k ppl online there nowaday, whereas last year when they opened it was like 4-6k online.

its your best option imo. lock maybe better, but won't last long.

hero poker has david jung who has brought lpers onto hero last year. he is the ceo. very responsible w/ his business and things have went way better as the cynical mind would expect.

if i were to play from tha states, thats the place.
GL Guys,

imo lock wont last long meaning - they will be up and running etc, but its not going to have a huge playerbase as many will obv stay @ merge. cake was small as is. bills are gonna be passed and imo when a big boy like stars steps there feet back into the usa, no other sites will have anyone again :-)

Is hero poker still accepting US players?

NewbSaibot   United States. May 18 2012 09:27. Posts 4943

I dont play on Hero/Merge anymore after the bot ring scandal. Something like 12 player accounts with identical stats all from the UK with 5k hand samples. None of their money was returned to players who lost to them. They just silently banned all the accounts and swept it under the rug.

I've been playing on Hero for about 10k hands. Don't play much at all anymore since black friday. Maybe 15k hands total since then. It's just something to play while I'm super bored atm.

wait what?
theres sites that cash out to ppl in the US?

how big of cash outs are we talking about and has it always been this way since Black Friday?

edit:
I presume that they send the cashouts by check or something? surely there is no direct deposit methods available

as long as someone from the US has been getting cashouts (say at least 1-2k worth a month or so) since Black Friday with no qualms I might go looking into investing some time again
