^ Efrain Escudero and Alex Soto are from Mexico.

Escudero is on a 2 loss streak and might get another chance, but this is already his second stint in the UFC. He's a middle of the road fighter at best.

Soto is new to the UFC, he got owned by Michael McDonald's fists in his first UFC fight, so, cant judge him too much yet. He's facing a Mexican American fighter in Francisco Rivera, who puts a lot of power into his punches and has a good chin. I think Soto will land some shots but will get finished by Rivera.

There's also Miguel Torres, who's Mexican American. He also got KO`ed in his last fight against Michael McDonald.

There's some other half breeds too, but whatever.

The strength difference in this fight is huge. Vera is so much stronger.

I'm on my way home. Soto reminds me of Danny Downes, a weakling of sorts that has some talent but cant do shit againt physically stronger fighters who have good chins, which most featherweight to lightweeights do. If you've seen Rivera fight, you know he has to be submitted or killed to be put away. He would be a threat if he was more technical, he's like the Hawaiian guy who just beat Hominick.

Does anyone get this image when you try to view UFC on Facebook? This started happening a few days ago for me, and also, MMAJunkie.com shows a "we're under construction" logo when I'm on my PC, but not my phone. Both sites work fine with Internet Explorer. I use FireFox and don't have any problem with other sites aside those two mentioned, which started late last week.

I just updated by Adobe Flash and Shockwave players, so that's not the issue. And I'm running FireFox 12.0, which is the latest version.

There's 4 or so pop ups. The last 2 pop ups are a grayish color, which you need to let sit for like 30 seconds and move your mouse over them to make the tiny X show up, it's not the big X that looks obvious.

This was Jason MacDonald's retirement fight. Good to see him retire unharmed.

Too bad he isn't more well rounded in MMA. He has good hands, can take damage to the head, and is a brown belt in BJJ.
His problems are: he moves slow, only moves straight forward instead of mixing it up, doesn't use his legs for anything, no wrestling.

That being said, Maldonado got robbed there. PokerJack landed the bigger shots, but, Maldonado landed way more punches altogether, and those times PokerJack was laying on top, he didn't do much during that time.

Thought he won, but it was super, super close.

Jabouin looked good, Houghland looked terrible. Dunno why Houghland stood with Jabouin all of round 1.

pretty awful performance by jeremy stephens. standing at a distance with cerrone throwing at most 2 punches at a time.

Anyone who's watched even a few boxing matches knows to overcome reach you must constantly pressure, close the distance, and throw multiple punch combos.

I was thinking Stephens was going to use Cerrone's fight against Diaz as a blueprint on how to win. Stephens is attacking from the outside and not using his wrestling like he did vs. Pettis.

Terrible fight between Sadollah and Lopez.
Lopez is usually a stand up fighter. He looks like he just learned the basics of wrestling and decided to employ that strategy for 70% of the fight. He also looked like he gassed toward the end of round 1.

Sadollah looked gross as usual.

I don't give a shit who wins the Decision.

I only watched that fight sparingly... was it was bad of a robbery as it seemed to be?
