The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), returns next month with the largest guarantee the series has ever seen.
PokerStars will award a massive $75 million across 20-days of non-stop poker action from September 5 to 25 with 73 events of various buy-in levels and tournament types to choose from.
“The team at PokerStars has designed the WCOOP that we would like to play and added the biggest guarantee to date,” said PokerStars’ Managing Director & Commercial Officer of Poker, Severin Rasset. “We aim to give all our players a chance to find a tournament for them. That’s why we are offering a large range of formats, buy-ins and plenty of routes to qualify. The 20-day tournament series is going to be huge for everyone and we can’t wait to see the results.”
This year’s schedule also has an added punch with the inclusion of a special UFC â tournament on September 15. Buy-ins will be split across four divisions: the bantamweight $11 buy-in, lightweight $109 buy-in, middleweight $1,050 buy-in, and heavyweight $10,300 buy-in. In addition to big cash prizes, PokerStars will award each of the four tournament winners a package to UFC® 244 in New York on November 3, which includes flights, transfer and a hotel stay.
