Ole Schemion took down the WPT Tournament of Champions title earlier this week, after besting a 75-man field for $440,395.
Tournament happened at HyperX Esports Arena - with that kind of the tournament, no surprised came and final table was extremally though. Entire final was also broadcasted live and commented by Nick Schulman and Tony Dunst.
Heads up battle was for Dunst vs Schemion - when Schemion finally busted out the runner up he lifted the trophy and commented : “It was a tough final table - it was a nice game – I enjoyed it.”
He added: “It feels great. I’m tired and happy to go home now, but I’m satisfied. It was a nice tournament overall and nice to win.”
Schemion’s $440,395 win didnt include all the prizes - on top he got also a traditional $15k entry into next year’s Tournament of Champions as well as a special-edition Hublot watch, along with a custom-made BBO Poker Table. From the sponsors there was a handcrafted Baccarat Crystal Tornado Vase and a Baccarat Crystal Champagne Flute set.
