 Travis "dramaticdegen" Darroch has become the latest player to join partypoker's new Team Online, comprising a select group of the industry's top poker streamers and content creators.
In his earlier years, Darroch originally harboured hopes of becoming an actor, before success as a poker streamer saw him turn his attentions to Twitch full time and set aside his acting ambitions. The Canadian's Twitch following currently sits at 23,500.
Like many before him, "dramaticdegen" was lured to poker after watching the classic cult film "Rounders," drawn by the prospect of making money by playing cards and becoming his own boss.
The move into poker has proved a fruitful venture: Darroch consistently posts impressive results at the virtual MTT tables across a range of game formats, and will be looking to continue that form as a fully-fledged partypoker Team Online member.
The creation of the team forms part of a wider company strategy earmarked for the following weeks and months with the focus on streaming quality, engaging content across partypoker's main Twitch channel. Just recently, the site announced a partnership with "The Thirst Lounge," a Twitch streaming channel launched in 2016 by high stakes player, Bill Perkins that encourages viewers to "live their best life."
Plans also include a new partypoker high stakes cash game that will see some of the biggest names in poker invited to trade blows on the site's virtual cash game tables, streamed live.
In addition, various current members of Team partypoker including Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard and Ludovic Geilich will alternate in hosting partypoker Twitch streaming sessions, focusing on a range of poker topics.
Over the coming days, partypoker will be unveiling further new additions to Team Online via its official blog and social media channels.

Hailing from Canada, Patrick has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the poker world within the space of two years, switching $4 buy-in micro stakes tournaments for $25K High Rollers typically reserved for the game's elite, and commands a 12,000-strong following on Twitch.
Having graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Patrick re-located to South Korea to teach English as a foreign language, before finding his true calling in poker with a grounding in the game of "Halo." Despite his foray into poker, Patrick acknowledges the teaching experience, believing it helped to shape the fiercely competitive poker pro as he is known in poker fraternities nowadays.
Patrick cites an incessant restlessness allied with a deep-seated desire to constantly learn and improve as crucial weapons in his armoury, in his ongoing quest to become a great of the game.
