I would argue that if you condition yourself to GTO and play like a bot you have already mastered mental game because emotions dont affect your decisions. The problem is a lot of people do not have the emotional intelligence to properly put themselves into this mindset. |

This is true, mental game is very important for "bad" players, anyone who has casual or low-tier pro friends knows how bad they struggle with their emotions.
Its still a personality thing, some minority of top tier pros still have issues with emotional control, like Isildur did a few years ago |
