Andras Nemeth took down the €25,000 Single-Day High Roller at EPT Barcelona, outlasting a field of 95 entries (including 77 re-entries). Nemeth walked away with a handsome €605,600, the biggest prize of his remarkable career.

Nemeth outlasted a talented final table which featured the likes of Matthias Eibinger, Byron Kaverman, Vladimir Troyanovskiy and Sean Winter, among others.

Nemeth faced off against Malaysian player Chan Wai Leong in the heads-up play. A pivotal hand saw them clash preflop with both players possessing virtually even stacks. Chan looked to make a major step towards locking up the top-prize, holding aces versus ace-deuce. Nemeth, however, finished with a straight to eliminate Chan in second place for €420,800.

Nemeth celebrated only his second live tournament win. His lone previously reported first-place finish came nine years ago in a mid-stakes tournament in Austria. Nemeth is, however, one of the most prolific players from Hungary. He sits in fifth place on his nation's all-time money list with $1.7 million in earnings.

He has a strong online background, having amassed $8.5 million in online tournament cashes. Known as "probirs" at PokerStars, Nemeth triumphed in the 2018 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) $25k High Roller) for a $576,087 payday.
