Last year he got the title of WSOP Player of The Year and in this one he is also doing pretty well. Chris Ferguson has already cashed ten times at World Series of Poker 2018, which puts him in the lead, ex aequo with Shaun Deeb.

This year, so far Chris Ferguson ranks 31st as far as POY goes. His biggest success this summer is coming fourth twice – in Seven Card Stud ($1,500 buy-in and $29,999 won) and No-Limit Hold'em with $2,500 ($161,371). At the top of the list we have Shaun Deeb, winner of Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed High Roller ($25,000 BI). Shaun scooped there $1,402,683).

Last year Ferguson cashed as many as 23 times at WSOP, and he won a bracelet (WSOPE in Rozvadov), and thus he got the Player of the Year honors. It made many in the poker community angry as they haven't forgotten the Full Tilt Poker and role that “Jesus” had in its fall.

You can love him or you can hate him, but since he came back to WSOP in 2016 he is doing jus great. In 2016 he cashed 10 times, last year 23, and this year he added 10 more. Thanks to them he is $900,000 richer. Altogether live events brought him $9,179,647. He also moved up to the second place in the ranking for most cashed in all of WSOP festivals. Ferguson has 107, and he overtook Erik Seidel (105). At the very top of that honorable list there is of course good old Phil Hellmuth, who cashed 134 times.

Check the exact list with WSOP 2018 cashes by Chris Ferguson:

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen
