Poker world loves cryptocurrencies. One of the players who very often talks about them is Doug Polk. One such a comment aimed at Dan Bilzerian caused a storm on Twitter, which ended up with a duel proposal!
A few days ago Dan Bilzerian announced he is going back to the crypto market. Polk decided to comment the tweet: “If you ever have to get back into crypto you are doing it wrong.”
Bilzerian responded very quickly:
“You think selling bitcoins at the price was a bad move? What else am I doing badly, you idiot? Be sure to use my name, so that people know you have said anything.”
Polk didn't keep his mouth shut.
“If you want to talk about money, keep taking yours from daddy, to make people notice you.”
Why was Bilzerian so aggressive? Remember that video in whoch Polk criticized Bilzerian's poker skills? You might have also seen those in a video with Dan playing with Bill Perkins at Americas Cardroom.
The video titled: “The truth about Dan Bilzerian's poker skills” caught a lot of attention. Dan has many times tried to convince the public he is a great poker player who won more than 50,000,000 dollars playing cards.
“The goal in poker is to make as much money as possible. You figured let me get super good and tell everyone how good I am. I figured let me make everyone think I suck and play with the bad super rich rec players in private games. Keep making training videos, you’re killing it.”
Not too many people really believe that Dan made so much on poker, but there are players like Haralabos Voulgaris who confirm it. Dan offered to show evidence of that:
“To save time, I’ll bet you a million dollars I can show wires for poker wins in excess of 40 million dollars in a one or two year period. I’ve probably won more in one night than you have in your whole life, so I guess to answer your question, poker.”
Here's what Doug said to that:
“As fun as it sounds to settle this by getting your accountant involved (he does an amazing job btw) how about we actually play some poker?”
Unfortunately fans of poker will be disappointed. Bilzerian doesn't want to play with Polk, but he intends to prove he won the money.
“I don't need to play you, but show my bank account slip. You would probably be a favourite if we played heads up, but that's not the point. You said I didn't earn money on poker and I claim otherwise.”
Polk replied, this time calmer that he has never said Bilzerian hasn't made money on poker, but those millions he boasts are highly unlikely. In his opinion the bank slips are not a proof as they can be forged.
Oh only if there was a way to wash your money through casinos, I wonder how people havent thought of that already... oh wait.
Bilzerian's commentary is disgusting, doubt he d beat 200nl online and you know it when Bill Perkins is actually making 10x better calls overall

Even if Dan won 40m playing poker, he seems to spend like 2m per month flying around to exotic locations on a private jet. Plus he owns like a 20m mansion in the hollywood hills. He would have burned through that in less than a year with his lifestyle. He has to have some other source of income.

I'd challenge him @ Doug's place as well. Bilzerian might act out on ego and actually agree and donate a few milly, guess he's not that dumb though

So Dan's involved in some shady business stuff? No way.
He knows he won't get him to play HU but everytime Dan replys to him on Twitter Doug wins a lot of followers, that's the only reaseon he is doing that shit.

I can easily imagine that bilzerian won a lot of money via poker. If you have the connection to play with the richest businessmen, who are probably hobby players and doesnt care if they lose millions in 1 night....So if bilzerian has the ability to beat the micros online he would be profitable in these games. Obviously hes not playing high stakes in macau with Ivey and Dwan
