Last year ESPN Networks and Poker Central's subscription service PokerGo shared coverage of the WSOP Main Event. After a highly successful partnership in 2017, 2018's WSOP coverage will be increased to include the $1m buy-in Big One for One Drop!!!

The two companies will work together yet another year and the result will be quite amazing. PokerGO's coverage will not overlap with ESPN, but rather will be taking over where ESPN leave off. The goal (for the Main Event), according to the WSOP website is to "air start to finish everyday coverage from July 2nd – July 14th"

As far as ESPN is concerned, much of the early Main Event coverage will take place on ESPN2, (including all four day 1's and both day 2's) although Day's 4, 6, and all three of the final table days will be shown on the premier ESPN channel.

WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart said: “We’re ecstatic that ESPN and Poker Central continue to raise the bar and deliver more live poker content to audiences across the globe. Fans today demand immediacy and wall-to-wall coverage and this year’s offering delivers on that in spades.”

Poker Central's Cheif Digital Officer J.R McCabe commented:[i] “Last year, both ESPN viewership and PokerGO subscription numbers were very strong throughout the WSOP Main Event. This year, we’re doubling down on live coverage of the World Series of Poker by adding the Big One for One Drop and bringing even more live poker to fans worldwide.”[/o]

This year the WSOP will not close on the completion of the Main Event, this honour will go to the $1m buy-in 'Big One for One Drop' which starts on July 15th, the day after the Main Event final table is due to play down to a winner. This is the first time the $1m One Drop event has appeared at the WSOP since Dan Colman's controversial win back in July 2014. Once again the coverage will be split between ESPN2 and PokerGo.
