Doug "WCGRinder" Polk is arguably nowdays one of the most well-known players in the poker world. We don't see him playing so much, but over the last year, he’s become more recognizable by people for his vlogs and social media presence.
Polk is really active recently on social media platforms, such as Instagram, Twitch, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter and since last year, Youtube.
His YT channel started back in June 2016 and Polk was the first poker YouTuber to get 100,000 subscribers. Now he has more than 147,000 of them. That’s a really good result in a very short time. At the same time last year, his channel only had 23,000 followers. That's a 547% increase from year-to-date. Impressive, indeed.
Another achievement for him is that Polk passed Daniel Negreanu in subscribers last December and still has a slight lead over ‘Kid Poker.'
His videos contain strategical news, hilarious takes on recent info, highlights from his famous Twitch streams, and a lot of great entertainment.
Polk’s channel is getting bigger every day, and that is why he finally got the famous YouTube Silver Play Button, an award that YouTube owners give to users who surpass the number of 100,000 subscribers. This is a big achievement, and of course Doug couldn’t have been more excited. He wrote on Instagram to share a photo of his newly-received prize and wrote:
“I couldn't be happier having over 350 videos produced in the last 17 months, and I am looking forward to even brighter future.”
