Daniel Negreanu announced his big plans for the upcoming summer poker tournaments that he is going to participate in during and before the 2017 festival of World Series of Poker.
Negreanu is currently still number 1 on the all-time tournament money list with over $33 million in live tournament winnings. According to his recent blog, Negreanu is likely to spend more than few of high buy-ins from his own money this summer and those might as well exceed $1mln:
"This is a big summer with a lot at stake and buyins likely exceeding $1 million. I put up 100% of my buyins so it’s imperative that I am prepared and focused for the duration.
I WILL BE DOCUMENTING THE ENTIRE JOURNEY AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET A GLIMPSE INTO WHAT IT’S LIKE TO PLAY THESE KIND OF STAKES AND HOW I MENTALLY DEAL WITH BOTH SUCCESSES AND FAILURES."
Some of the tournaments Negreanu has included in his schedule are the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl at Aria, WSOP’s $50,000 buy-in Poker Players Championship and the $111,111 buy-in One Drop High Roller.
His goals for the summer are quite ambitious as well – win three WSOP bracelets, WSOP Player of the Year award and to cash for over $1,5 million. As he claims, but how much success he will see? Hard to say.
Daniel Negreanu also admits that he no longer enjoys playing No-Limit Hold’em events without a shot clock and plans to get aggro with excessive tankers.
