The heads-up duel / grudge match between Cate Hall and Mike Dentale at Poker Night in America has ended with a 2-0 win for Cate Hall in their best of three $15,000 freeze-out events.
The entire match turned out to be pretty much one-sided over visibly frustrated Dentale, who looked like a calling station all the way along making it easy for Cate to pick up value with her good hands.
Doug Polk and Shaun Deeb were not especially happy with Dentale’s play, as he made more than a few questionable plays, whereas Hall seemed to have a better handle of the game.
There were no huge fireworks in the match, more of a constant bleeding of chips from Dentale’s stack to Hall’s as she opened up a huge lead in the first match of $25k to $5k.
Round 2 was all about Hall as she continued to make good hands and hold the ground with decent plays. It was over without anything spectacular.
After second match Dentale made his way up to the commentary booth to justify some of his plays and whine about lack of playable hands to the two co-commentators who he had heard had been criticizing him during the match.

Im glad to see Cate win, but these 500 hand HU grudge matches are silly.... I guess some poker drama is better than dry grind though
Obviously meaningless but the attention paid to it is better than nothing
yeah absolutely, filmed grudge match, keep em coming, sadly it was between two random not very good players

He was basically close to drawing dead. His only hope was to get AA vs KK or something. I started watching when he was check calling OOP with J4o on an AKx board for two streets and Shaun Deeb was like "Dentali has just given up at this point".
