WPT commentator and player Mike Sexton recently was a guest of Joey “ChicagoJoey” Ingram podcast called "Poker Life". He discussed his poker career and many other interesting subjects such as $15,000,000 he made by selling shares of PartyPoker. A lot of money? Indeed it is, but by selling too early Sexton lost... $500,000,000!

Sexton, after all the years, took down his first World Poker Tour title just last month and managed to pass $6 million in total live tournament earnings thanks to that. While Sexton has been very successful as a player, he has made even more money when he was involved with the start of the online room PartyPoker.

According to Sexton he eventually sold all of his partypoker shares for $15 million, but could have made up to $500 million by waiting a little more before selling his stake in the company.
“By selling my all stock, it only cost me about $500 million or so. But what’s $500 million here or there,” Sexton laughs as he reveals.

Michael Richard “Mike” Sexton was born September 22nd, 1947. He is an American professional poker player and commentator. He is also a member of the Poker Hall of Fame. At the beginning of his career Mike Sexton was a gymnast and attended The Ohio State University where he earned a degree in public recreation after changing majors from business. He jokes that he majored in poker because he played very frequently in college. He also regularly played contract bridge and taught classes on it in North Carolina.

Agree. Money not won isn't money lost. But I guess people really mean "Money missed out on making".

The difference is the decision was at his fingertips. You guys are just throwing hypothetical situations that wouldn't ever happen.

Baal makes up his own words, and then looks down with disdain towards all the peasants who don't know what he means. Baal is better than you! Accept it
