I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident. | |

Hastings is not the first high-stakes player to move away from poker tables. For example, poker brothers Di “Urindanger” Dang and Hac “trex313” Dang opened up a restaurant called “Chasin’ Tails” in their home state in Virginia.

Their restaurant is doing quite well. It looks like they have two locations in Virginia.
Here's their main location: https://www.yelp.com/biz/chasin-tails-arlington-3
4 stars on Yelp with nearly 1100 reviews is legit. They are clearly doing something right.
Here's their restaurant's website: http://www.chasintailscrawfish.com/about |

Hmm just read it and it doesnt really sit well with me. Usually i dont read too much into things that don't concern me. However, I feel like he comes off very narcissistic in his apologies. Its funny because I don't even think any of the hand buying and even the VPNing things are something I'd be that upset about. Its just the way he "apologizes" (though i suppose this isnt like an apology piece he wrote up. More of a summary with some regret thrown in) is more of him trying to jusitfy it so you can think he should get a pass. Instead of owning it. I mean i care more about his lack of ownership of the situation. Than i do about the situation at all LOL. |

not sure what piece you read but there is no intent of apology or remorse whatsoever on the hand buying thing.
it's mostly a "here are some bad things that happened to me as a naive kid which made me depressed, and now im ready to be more positive on life and move on"
| That was when I first learned that poker media probably doesn’t have my best interests at heart.
In the ensuing weeks, I received a lot of heat, albeit mostly from NVG-tards and failing players (most real pros had my back, FWIW). I remember being at an Indiana Jones show at Walt Disney World with my parents and frustratedly scrolling 2+2 watching my character be defamed. Eventually, FTP investigated, stripped my friend of red pro status for a month, and found that I did nothing wrong. Still, from time to time I would hear people label me a cheater. It ate at me some. |
otherwise agreed, don't really think he did much wrong other than be too naively trusting of people without integrity and affected by the abuse of anonymous lowlives of nvg. |

he essentially apologized while at the same time giving an excuse for his actions, therefore justifying his actions
this nullifies the original apology imo |
