There is an AMA (Ask me Anything) thread going on at the moment with one of the founders of SmartSpin staking branch (which you should know, as they have a sponsored thread on here), a three time SuperNova Elite and a poker millionaire, iJustGamble.

If you are interested in reading the full AMA thread, you can find itunder this link at Reddit.co

In the thread you can find answers to the following questions asked:
- When he first started at age 18, did he find himself natural born poker player or did it take time to hone his skills?
- Does he invest in online players? How does the staking branch track them. Also, is he aware of much fraud in the community? As in people going back on their word, or not paying back investors? How contractual are agreements?
- What kind of schools did he attend?
- What's his opinion on poker winnings - spend/invest/keep as they are?
- How much money you would have to invest into your poker career nowadays to be a winning player?

thanks for the headsup, would have missed this

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

pretty much just advertising for SmartSpin ...

Also I don't like his logic, knowing he plays HU SnG Hypers - while nobody on reddit knows that,

you can't say stuff like " I personally don't belive in something like poker talent " to people who are not aware you are an expert in a game that is 99.99% following a chart

Obviously there is no poker talent required once you've made your homework or got access to the proper information/chart

/trying not to be a hater, just don't like the AMA and it's simply a free Smartspin advertissement
/probably a hater anyhow

Yes I do not play hu sng and have never looked deeply into how it works, but it 'seems' more mechanical with less variation and 'easier' to reach strong foundation. I am sure there are some intricate stuff but even WCG says all forms of tournament play is played horrifically by the top tourny pros. How he breaks it down, I have no idea.

However, 6max or w/e does chart for the basics. After which you have to understand how to change depending on villains variation. The thing is that with cash game, variations change and it is very hard to know what someone does vs you compared to others to the point where you can have it all nicely charted out. So, I guess technically you could have a strong understand of charts like SNG and apply it for cash, but the truth is it is absurdly more complex and that is where a 'talent' would come into play.

So I agree with you
