Well - things are getting interesting and internet drama is without a doubt going to be strong - just a day ago we reported that Mercier refused a $100,000 buy-out from Vanessa Selbst (she stands to lose $1,800,000 if Mercier wins three bracelets druing 2016 World Series of Poker). This was right before he finished 2nd in the $10k Razz event.

And guess what - Jason Mercier has just won his second WSOP bracelet of the week, with first place in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship for $422,874. He defeated famous PokerStars online player James Obst from Australia heads up for the title, with a total field of 171 players competing.

It is Mercier’s second World Series bracelet of the summer, and fifth of his career. He is cementing himself as one of the finest poker players across all variants with this H.O.R.S.E. bracelet and a 2-7 Draw Lowball bracelet from earlier in the week, after winning a No-Limit Hold’em bracelet in 2015 and Pot-Limit Omaha bracelets in 2009 and 2011. He now has 50 cashes in WSOP events, of which 18 have been final tables, including three WSOP final tables this week! His win just hours ago takes his lifetime live tournament winnings to over $17 million, with more than $4 million from WSOP events.

At the moment Mercier is going strong - he is currently top 17th in chips with 60 players remaining in the Event #30: $3000 Six-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha.

Will he make it and win $1,8000,000 from Selbst?
It looks like Vanessa got desperate and trying to minimize her potential loses she bet FOR Mercier with other people.
She wrote on her Twitter: "For those wondering, I hedged for a lot of it (not w Jason) but still have a decent sweat. Gave a bunch of others something to sweat w me."

Mercier had his AAxx cracked in a huge pot, looks like he has more than a few more tries with a lot of high stakes 10k+ events still coming up.

Should be good!
