The World Series of Poker is starting soon - the officials responsible for the tournaments announced last week that they officially opened a revamped online registration process for summer 2016. This year will see 69 events from May 31 to July 18.
According to a press release, World Series of Poker partnered with Genesis Gaming Solutions Inc., a company known for its Bravo Poker Tournament Software. This cooperation is going to give players an option to register online for the upcoming 2016 bracelet events. Of course, there will be still keeping the option register for tournaments in person.
The new registration process will allow “any participant that registers online in advance for their selected event(s), to avoid visiting the registration cage once on-site at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas,” the WSOP said. In other words, you can complete entire registration online and avoid the queues.
“Simply put, players that plan in advance will be able to save a lot of time at the event this year. For those that wait until the last minute, this new enhancement will not have relevance.”
The WSOP gave a detailed explanation for what to do once you reach the Rio, if anyone is interested:
Once the participant completes the online process (including sending in payment) for one or more events, they then only have to show up in the Rio Convention Center Rotunda Area Fast Pass Total Rewards Desk one hour prior to their event’s start, to show proof of identification and have their identity verified. If the method of payment is credit card, the participant must also present the credit card used for the online registration. Once verified, the participant will receive seat assignments and receipts for any and all event(s) this participant has registered for and can proceed to their starting room, table and seat at the participant’s leisure.
