Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates was doing ana AMA type of thread earlier this week (AMA stands for Ask Me Anything) and he has been answering poker fans questions that would normally probably never see a daylight. The most interesting one was regarding not his own poker career, but one of his nose-bleed competitors - Tom "durrrr" Dwan.

The rumors regarding Tom "durrrr" Dwan whereabouts, plans and results has been going on for around a year or so now, without any specific informations. It was only known that Dwan was staying in Asia (Macau or Manila) to play in their nose-bleed games. In the AMA, Cates however confirmed that Dwan lost a staggering US$20,000,000 pot in a set-over-set situation.

We don't know who the other player was but Cates said that this is probably one of the biggest poker pots ever witnessed.

Cates also gave an update on the Durrrr Challenge: "Tom's dad is sick and he is in New Jersey with him, later we will discuss how to proceed...
I think it will eventually finish in some way, tom acknowledges it has been too long as well as the penalties and we will discuss again once he is out of his latest crises....", Cates said.

but how much did he lose

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen

50,000-100,000 blinds?

I cant fathom this being one hand. I believe it happened, just doesn't seem possible. 20,000,000 dollar pot? Do you just cut a 10 million dollar check? How does security work in a game like that? Doesn't seem like something that would happen in a casino.

A guy owes me 175 dollars and I haven't spoken to him in 2 years.

In the same ama he (cates) also speculated what tom dwan's net worth might be and it might be pretty sizeable albeit with liquidity issues.
