The hottest final table of the year is set - and the last few hours of play were really dramatic. In just four months, nine players will return to play for the main prize of $7,680,021 at the WSOP Main Event final table.
The tournament started with 6,420 entrants dreaming of becoming the one, including the best player of all the time, Daniel Negreanu. And for last two days, all the eyes were on Negreanu - he almost made it, busting right before the most important final table of the year: Joe McKeehen eliminated him in 11th place. McKeehen called Negreanu's all-in holding a flush and straight draw, which hit against Negreanu's top pair. Daniel made $526,778.
This is the second time in his career that Negreanu has come 11th in the Main Event. He did the same in 2001 when Carlos Mortensen won it.
McKeehen is going to start the final table with a massive chip lead - double the second person. He also has a solid tournament experience, with around $2,000,000 in live cashes, which includes runner-up in the WSOP Monster Stack last year for $820,863.
The most recognized player from the list is probably Max Steinberg though. With also $2mln won life-time and multiple high place finishers all around the world, he will for sure make an impact on the table.
The blinds will be starting at 200,000/400,000/50.
