I went to watch Star Trek yesterday and sat next these three irritating trekki geeks who kept making the stupid Vulcan hand sign thing. Everytime it appeared on screen three hands would pop up as if they were giving Spock the Vulcan high five and they kept GIGGLING at every goddamned old school Star Trek reference and the worst was when they giggled during an emotional moment in a lift after lo...

There isn't really a point to this entry but I feel I need to state out loud any small improvements because I'm on the verge of giving up.

2 lessons on I'm breaking even, which I guess is an improvement on losing.

After a hand I can usually see what I should have done, so I guess there's some improvement there.

Some changes I think could help is to maybe cap my play time at 1.5 hour...

So Rockman was nice enough to school... uh... coach me. I'm really having mixed emotions right now.

On the one hand he's a fantastic teacher and I can feel some improvement after just one lesson. I've never been more hopeful that I can move up.

On the other hand I've been stuck here forever, and all it take is one bad hand to give me a crisis of confidence and make me wonder if maybe I ...

I think I should throw in the towel and quit
With 2 outs on the river, the fish always hit

No matter the cards, no matter the stacks
My asshole gets violated and stretched to the max

In the last 700 hands, I've lost JJ vs KT (rivered trips), AK vs 58 (rivered 2 pair), AK vs 72 (turned trips), QQ vs J7 (runner runner straight), KK vs 77 (all in PF flopped set), KK vs 99 (3 bet PF flopped set), KK vs AQ (all in PF flopped an ace AND rivered a flush, just to rub it in) BUT at least I have not punched anything or broken my table yet.

So I sit down at a table with two maniacal Danes. I stack one of them and in the very next hand, the other one stacks me back - my biggest losing hand at NL50. That wasn't the only suck out, of course. Looking back on my losing hands from today's session is just more grief than it's worth.

No wonder Denmark is always ranked as the happiest place on earth. I bet there's a bl...

This week has been so bad. I came down with the flu on Wednesday morning. Then on Wednesday afternoon my computer breaks down. Repeated attempts to fix it in my woozy state failed until I finally got it stabilised enough to get all my important data out and reformat on Thursday. Spent the whole of today trying to bring the computer back up to 2008 standard.

When all the doctors start talking about their colonoscopies and what have you, that's when I should be leaning ove...

So there I was, a miserable sinner, taking my first real shot at NL50 this week while dowloading porn via bitcomet. Yes, gambling, pornography and copyright infringement all at the same time. Bad beats and coolers came nonstop until my poker graph looked like it was tracking the value of the Aussie dollar.

After a 13K breakeven stretch, I was forced to take a break from poker because of work commitments. After more than a month, I returned on Saturday and won around 550bb in 2.5 hours, running at about 40ptbb/100. That takes my bankroll past 1,000 and I'm going to start taking shots at NL50.

Excited by the prospect, I broke my rule of only playing if I had 2 or more hours to spare (I feel it'...

These people need to start looking for alternative employment, because if you think that sitting (or walking) in the jungle without a change of underwear for three days is a "good break from work", you are definitely in the wrong job.
