I am so inconsistent and undisciplined when it comes to Poker.

The two huge faults I notice of mine are:

1. I don't put enough attention and focus while playing poker.
2. I don't put enough attention and focus while learning poker.

When watching coaching videos I'll be doing something else as well - watching a Starcraft 2 stream or talking to people on MSN. This is true also while act...

So I cashed out my roll, which was only like $650.

Then I decided I want to play again. I left $10 in my account.
So it is time to grind STT's. This time I want to try to hit $1,000 with STT only, no cash games.

Looking for people to add me on MSN and theory discuss, etc. Also, is STT games a good way to make FPPs? I'm on stars.

thnx

I recall a few people on Liquidpoker saying that there is no substantial variance at lower limits (uNL).

First off, that is total bullshit. It angered me just remembering anyone was stupid enough to even say that.
The past two days I've run 6 buyins under EV. However, this blog isn't to complain about bad beats or analyze the hands where I lost.

I'm trying to get more into poker. I start...

Srsly now, when do I claim taxes?

I've read so much bullshit on this subject and learnt nothing. I'm withdrawing $25 a week and haven't been paying taxes because it is such a meager amount.

However, I know when it comes to making money in other things than a job, once you exceed $600 in a year, you need to fill out a W-9 form. So how do you guys do it? What happens when I want to cash out...

So my new solution is to just do freeroll and misc. tournaments until I'm 18, since I think it is pretty sweet practice, or a lot better than play money, and I have the possibility of winning some cash.

Earlier this morning I did that Mans Million Dollar Qualifier on Pokerstars and finished like 7,000 out of 15,000 or something. That kind of bit.

But I just finished doing Fulltiltpoker w...

Playmoney experience into money?

I've been doing semi-decent on playmoney on pstars.

Question is how much will playmoney benefit real money games in poker? From my experience 1/2, 5/10 NLHE tables for playmoney are not even close of an accurate representation of any money tables as far as I know (although I never did a money table.) Most people will call every game, and large bets won't really scare people off.

Unless m...

I've got a few questions just for some guidance and help.

1. How many tables do you play at once? I play "play money" tables until I turn 18 which is pretty soon, but I can't believe you can give a good game and focus to more than one table. I tried two and didn't do too bad. I won more than lost, but it is not real money so I'm sure the players are not as experienced. I saw what w...

I decided to start playing Poker, but I've got a few questions.

I've browsed this website for practically, three hours last night just reading through whatever I stumbled across and was wondering if there is a lingo list, because even when reading the Rekrul interview I didn't understand half of what he was saying. So far I think it is safe to say NL is No Limit. But that is all I know at th...
