Some of you may know, Washington State was the first state in the US to be dropped first by Pokerstars, and then FTP, prior to Black Friday. This was due to a State law passed in 2006, and which survived a narrow court challenge in 2009. Once that challenge failed, the sites decided against continuing to offer play to Washington State. Unfortunately for them, it was too little too late.

So let me relate my situation to you . . . .

Full Tilt announced that you could no longer play on their site from within the State of Washington back on November 10th of 2010. At that time I put in for a bank transfer for the bulk of my bankroll, at which time I was told processing would take 10-15 business days . . . .

After about 20 business days I inquired to when I might see my funds,...

It's not real money if you can't get the cash, is it?

Anyone else having trouble getting their money from Full Tilt? I cashed out my bankroll with a bank transfer when they blocked Washington residents on November 12th, and still have not received funds. All Full Tilt has to say is "sorry for the inconvenience" and "we're working on it" and "thank you for your patience" blah fucking blah.

I woke up this morning to discover that I can no longer play real money games on Pokerstars, due to a recent decision by the State Supreme Court to uphold the state's ban on online gambling.

State democrats in the legislature and the Governor passed a law effectively making online poker a class c felony, same as child rape, while taking money from the tribes who run lucrative casino operatio...

It's been a while since my last blog post, so I thought it was time to share with the gang at LP.

My last blog was on June 1st, after winning what appears to have been the last Liquidpoker weekly tournament. I'm kinda bummed about that, as I looked forward to these Sunday meetings. But since so many LP'ers are now rockstars in the poker world, I guess they went by the wayside. It would be gr...

I tried most of 2007 to hang with the LP'ers and earned a few ladder points, but my best showing had been a second (to myth, who had a bounty on his head, which went unclaimed I'm sorry to say) and third.

I hadn't played in the weekly tournament since last Christmas. And I r...

I played my first live tournament today, a 40 player field with a buy in of $35, at the 'Drift on Inn' (http://www.driftoninn.com/) in Shoreline, WA, which is about two miles north of the city limits of Seattle.

I was doing well until I picked up pocket aces. UTG I raised 4x, only to have the player on my left re-raise. Though I really didn't want to get all in pre-flop so early in the game,...

I decided to give Full Tilt a try, after two mostly unsuccessful years on Pokerstars. Since I've only played real money games on pokerstars, I have no basis for comparison.

After 18 games (I play SNG's almost exclusively), my line according to sharkscope:

Avg stake = $9
Avg profit = $8
Avg ROI = 73%
Total profit = $139

Compared to the embarassment that are my stats for pokerstars, ...

Playing sit n go donkey tournaments as I usually do has yet to make me rich. Go figure. Usually you find me playing $6.50 turbo two-tables. I played in $16 2-tables when my bankroll was bigger, but donking out in ten or fifteen minutes @ $16 a pop cuts into the roll pretty heavily. But today was different. I haven't played a $16 in a while, so today I thought I would give it a shot. Glad I did,...

so I come to the end of the week with a whimper, busting out of a half-dozen SnGs in a row leading up to Sunday's LP tournaments. I was able to win my first match in the HU tourney, but up against Roald in my second match I don't think I stood a chance. He played pocket fours well and took most of my stack on one hand.

Four $6 sng's, two cashes, both thirds. Made a couple dollars at the fishing hole too. I think I'm on a roll.

Monday was an up day for me. Got up at 5 am and got in a two-table sng with a $6 buy in and quickly donked out. But I had time before work to try again, so I got in another. I played well, got good cards, and sucked out when I needed to enough to build a nice chip lead. But it was getting near time to go to work and I hadn't even gotten dressed yet. So I sat out with five of us remaining and a ...

Flop hit the queen and another five, and so ends my tourney. Looks like I retained my spot on the ladder though. RaSZi wasn't there to pull further away. Really only vltava pulled away a bit. I'm going to have to cash next week.
