Sweet revenge
  znb, Jul 09 2008

I've started the day as finished yesterday. I was playing confidently but suckouts happend again and again. I took a little breakfast break and was thinking about my game and decided to play only on 3 tables instead of 4. And it worked. I had enough time to observe players, and think about important decisions. I won back my 2 buyins I lost yesterday and won another 2. And now I will watch the new WPT episode.

Keyhands
Villain had a note that he limps a wide range of hands, but that's not so important this time, just a sidenote
+ Show Spoiler +

Retarded got a note about calling me with suited A-junk, at least I won't stack off next time
+ Show Spoiler +

Same retard, value blufflike shove on turn, and he had the miracale card :D
+ Show Spoiler +

Got a not on villain here, that he often minbets on the flop with TPTK, so I've decided to just call with QQ and get away from my hand if A hits on the board

Infinite badbeats
  znb, Jul 08 2008

After I grinded back my way to NL25 I took a shot today again. It started very very well. I was playing my new laggy style which I've played thru like 6k hands at NL10. I've openraised and 3betted a wide range of hands and played premiums aggressively.

Then suddenly every single player started to give me badbeats.

The worst hands I called allin with was sets. If I had a set villain got a straight or flush. If I got a straight villain got a set, boated on the turn or river. Obviously if I went allin on the flop with two pair, villain called me with TPNK and turn paired the board. Shortstacks called and reraised me with A-rag against my pocket pairs, and obv hit those aces.

Maybe ppl relized that I'm playing very loose, because I was raising and calling 3bets with a wider range then usually. But I can say I wasn't on tilt even with those beats I got.

The first key hand was (no HH) when I was on the button with 250BB, smallblind got a note: can't fold pocket pairs, and shortstacker bigblind with around 70BB. I got AA in my hand, and everybody folded around. I raised 3,5BB, SB called and BB reraised me with a betpot. I wanted to play hads-up so I pushed allin. SB folded, BB called (obv). Flop came 5 7 A rainbow, turn 3, river K. I was about to celebrate... when BB showed 64o. Go cry, emo kid.

Ok, np, I grinded back my lost money, when a guy came to the table and doubled up on the first hand he played. But since I was playing on four tables I didn't see the action. I've tried to observe the new player and he seemed loose passive, calling and raising randomly.

And then, that hand came, and I got enough:

Am I supposed to fold in these situations? I don't think so. Folding a set in a 3betted pot because of a minraise is weak imho. If I just flat it I won't have enough money on the turn to make any action except nobrain allin with ridiculously small amount of money.

Overall, I'm grinding back some of my lost money on NL10, since I got coolered time and time again on NL25 and lost 8bi. It's going good, I've won 5 and a half bi today (2bi back from NL25, oh yeah)

We've played some Diablo 2 with my best friend yesterday and today, and when we finished it on normal, just started to read some internetz we've realized Diablo 3 was announced. Gief immediately! I'll definetly lose my life if that game comes out.

WoW sucks nowadays, my guild stopped our progress because there are a lot of slacktards among the members. So, next week I'm gonna leave my server and going to migrate to another realm which is crowded by fellow Hungarians. I've got accepted to a BT/MH guild already, woot.

Kneel before Zod!
  znb, May 28 2008

Well, it' seems the bad run continues IRL instead of poker. Nothing happend but my kneel started to hurt after a long time again. I'm afraid to visit a doc, because I guess the end will be a surgery. I'm in the middle of my exam period, but I can't really stand the pain anymore.

I've dropped UB NL25 for a while, because I want to earn 500VPP on Stars to get first deposit bonus. I've started to grind NL2 with SnGs like a week ago and I'm up to 10~ BI with a really small amuonts of played hands. Today I've won a sick 650BB pot :D

I'm epic fail
  znb, May 24 2008

Looks like it's a curse on me or something... Today I couldn't win one single 80-20, OR BETTER! I really mean it. I'm not playing junk hands, or doing some gambling, no, I'm playing like a nit, only with premium hands and even if I hit I lose the pot. For example JJ on button, I raised, guy reraised me and I called. I hit my set on a dry flop, villain led, I reraised, he called. A on the turn, board had two clubs, I shoved, guy instacalled and hit his fuckin flush on the river.

Next... smallblind minraised, I called with T9s, I hit my straight right on the flop. Villain leads, and I shove since he is short. Instacall again, the turn paired the board, villain hit his boat.

Next... I'm UTG with AA and raised a standard 3xBB. Guy on button reraised, bigblind called, and I reraised again. Button folded, BB called again, wtf. I hit my set on flop, potted flop and turn! and villain shoved on the river with ridiculous ods, so I called and he turned over Q6s, queen high flush without any fuckin pair and called two potsized bet.

On the button, KQo in my hand, flop came KQ9, I bet the pot, villain called. Turn Q, i hit my boat again, and I bet 2/3 of the pot, villain instashoves and I Phil Hellmuth instacall, river is Jh the 3rd heart and I laughed inside cuz maybe he has the flush... yes, the straight flush.

WTF

Relief
  znb, Apr 21 2008

The week started horrible at NL25. I've dropped out 5bi because of suckouts, outdraws, flushes vs flushes, sets over sets, T2P vs set and such things. I could cry like a baby, because I couldn't even win a 80-20.

After those monkeytilting games I've bought in for a 5+0.5$ 1K guaranteed tournament... but I realized too late, it's a rebuy tourney... bleh. Because of some donkaments I was able to double up twice, and had an average chipstack. Of course everybody used the addon possibility in the first break, but not me. With a really solid tight play after three doubleup I took the chiplead, and reached the final table with a good amount of money. It is said that you have to be lucky to win tournaments or finish on good places. I was lucky, won some flipaments and such, and suddenly I was the monster chipleader. Because the other guy picked up the shorties, we went to the headsup with almost the same amount of chips. I was dominating the game, but lost a cointoss with my TP against a flushdraw on the flop and became really short. On the very next hand I had pocket fives, the guy raised me allin and I called. He showed AK, flop came Axx, that's it. Ship 228$ for the second place.

It was a real relif after losing my 5bi on cash tables... now we (my friends and me) are playing Stacked with Daniel Negreanu online, just for fun, keke

Week 2, NL25 shot
  znb, Apr 18 2008

During the week I wasn't able to play a real session, only today. Every time I started to play somebody came and disturbed me so I just played some tours, but didn't went well. Finally I could play tomorrow a 2 hours long session, but almost throw my chair out of the window. I was up to 170+$ then a guy gave me a freaking suckout: He 3betted me preflop, and I called him with TT. Flop came QTx rainbow. Villain donkled the flop, and obv I reraised him. He gone allin, and obv again I called. Turn came J, river came K. Villain had AK, a gutshot on the flop, and possibly tried to bluff me out. Thanks, -1bi. I was steaming like hell, because I felt I was playing the hand well. After that hand I grinded back 10 bucks, but I was so disappointed that I just finished playing for this week.

Overall the game wasn't so hard, ppl are 3-4betting more then NL10, but it's easier to pull some bluffs off. +5 buying during (with the really short sessions before) 4,5 hours.

Some interesting hands:
Worst bluff I've of the week: + Show Spoiler +

Bad part, I was short: + Show Spoiler +

LOLWAT: + Show Spoiler +

Second worst bluff: + Show Spoiler +

Poor guy: + Show Spoiler +

That's all folks, see ya next week!
