Im hangin out at doomers house in AZ, chillin out waiting till i fly out tomorrow to Costa Rica, i figured id post a little update.
Had a fun NYE party with some of doomers friends, it was a good time, bottle rockets in AZ are way more intense due to the fire hazard.
The end of year has been great for me, i made an iphone app that really caught fire, its called "instaliked" and i made it in 3 days ( which is fast ) and it exploded on the app store, so i milked the app store sales for a few months, and then i sold it on an iOS app auction website for a really nice chunk of change.
It felt alot like winning a decent sized poker tournament, its not something i can reproduce every time, and it doesnt mean im the best at anything, but i worked hard and got lucky enough, and its a nice payday.
With the income from ios apps and my day job, i smashed my goal of a 6 figures year, and that made me pretty proud, especially having the iphone app be the thing that put me well over.
I havent started on a new iphone app project yet, im thinking about making a photo editing one, im not really sure, theres lots of competition for everything out there. I really would love to make an app that bridges the real poker or gambling scene with the crappy "casino" apps they already have everywhere, i think with the background I have in gambling and gaming, and all the stories weve all heard on the poker forums, i could potentially put together a really fun story line and user experience for a gambling game on the iPad or something. Anyways those are the 2 ideas floating in my head, but the second one would take far too much time and dedication, im not ready to quit my day job yet.
Other than all the work stuff, ive been looking at poker again and watching Doomer play, i think i have a better mind set this time to possibly return AS A HOBBY and nothing more, i just need to find the right site to play on.
Family stuff has been well, my dad had cancer last year, and seems to be doing great, its never a full lock that its all gone, but thats what it looks like for now.
The rest of my family and life is going great.
Year plans are to get to Costa RIca next week and surf for about a month and hang out, work on iphone apps, and enjoy some time off from my day job.
After that back home and to the grind, where i plan on finding space for my house i want to build, and working with architects to get a design finalized.
This summer I will be going down to vegas, hopefully during WSOP season, id really like to see some of the old crew.

Sup everyone, just felt like rollin out a small update.
Life is good, lookin at buying a house soon, still living in PDX and really like it.
Work is going great, making really good money at the day job and writing my own iphone apps after work ( when im inspired ) and the revenue from those is pretty good as well.
Went to a couple great music fests in the pacific north west this year and had a good time.
Dabbled with running as a hobby this summer, been running 10Ks pretty frequently, and have a half marathon in October im looking forward to, but i dont plan on running any further distances than that.
Got a new car this summer, 270HP track ready s2000, pretty fun little thing, kinda caught the car bug again and am probably going to build one more car hopefully before winter sets in too bad, just looking for a good shop/space to do it in.
Oh and i went to central america early this year in Jan, had a great time in Guatemala and El Salvador,
planning on going back and to Costa Rica for a month at the end of this year, if anyone wants to join me please hit me up, and if any of the old friends want to come visit me in PDX i have a great little house and a extra room, so feel free to msg me!

Trying to get some BW games going during lunch at work, wondering if anyone knows a easy way to download SC and BW? I know i can buy it for $15 on blizz site but id rather not waste money if someone has a link to a few installer files

Hey guys, im headed off to Guatemala in about an hour, and im going there for a month.
Anyone got any recommendations for things i really need to do while im down there? Or places i need to check out?
My plan is to check out my friends place in Xela for a week or two and then hit a coast and do some surfing.. Maybe maybe might hit up PCA if i have time.

Are there any US sites i can deposit money onto that support mac? Also if anyone has any money they would like to trade for paypal ill do that.

Hey guys, the company ive been working for over the last year has just finished up our first major app.
Its called SpinCam and its a tool for taking 360 images, kind of like a panoramic but you can capture motion as well, and spin around objects not just spin around your self.

LP Mobile?

Hey guys, ive been thinkin about a LP Mobile version.. I could make a mobile reader for the site and/or iphone app that made it easier to browse LP on mobile devices..

This is just a test of a way to see the home page and only that, any links click into the normal LP site.
Remember this is only for mobile phones so you have to view it on the phones browser.
I was wondering what the general community thought about this and if anyone would use it?
New Work Display

Got a new display for my work setup. my main setup is now a 12in Mackbook air, and the apple 27in cinema display.
Ive had the air for like 6 months and its my fav laptop ive ever had, the SSD is super nice and macs touchpad and navigation for a laptop is really nice.
The cinema display was just a nice upgrade from the 24 i had in my office before. Screen resolution is 2560 x 1440 with really nice color and light.
