Hi All,

I have started playing again in Januari.
The last months i did not play a lot but i really am motivated to keep this up.

- Did not make 100k hands goal
- Due to a 40 hour job
- Made platinumstar
- Made about 350 in bonusses

On course to moveup the coming month or the month after.

Question, how can i calculate my equity in this graph?

Thanks,

Ron

Hey Guys,

So i played my first session of NL25.
I am pretty happy with the way i played and the skill level really isnt that different.
The return on hours invested is much better.

Felt that i was bleeding money a little bit but i was a bit rough when they kept playing back when i did not make a hand.

I am going to stop to post every winner because i feel they are pretty basic, only the hands where i need discussion on i will post. Feel free to look them up however.

Stats and graph of today on NL25:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/608167

Only hand where i think i maybe could have played it differently. However the guy was playing like a maniac. However on the turn it felt pretty spewy when i made this move.
Not sure but i think i have to follow his stats there.

Or should i wait for a better spot (sample size only 50 hands)

Thanks for reading.

Moving up to NL25
  Rocks2BeGood, Jan 14 2009

Hey guys,

First i thought i would never do this, however i have problems with focussing myself on the lowest limits. This is why i sometimes just am making stupid plays because i dont care. That is why i am moving up to NL 25.

I also did prove myself i can easily beat this limit and that also was my intention. I had a lot of suckouts else i would have been up like $100 more i think.

The past few days i did not play a lot due to the flu.

Stats of NL10 and the graph:

Going to smoke and then play my first NL25 session, wish me luch!

Hey Guys,

Another update, i did not go to my girlfriend, what i normally do on wednesday. She went to holiday on ice. Thats a kind of dinner show they have here which involves a lot of skating on ice (obvious )

My stats for today:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=603110

No stats on the guy, that is why i called. I felt he could also easily have AQ/AJ etc. I thought it was a minraise but now i see he just raised small. Smelled like a set though

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=603098

I was really doubting whether to lead turn or check raise. I think both are fine.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=603070

And again, bad play is rewarded

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=603068 - Standard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=603060 - Fish!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=603059

No way to get away from that one imo

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=603046

He deserved that for calling a 5bb raise with Q2.

I am ok with my play today, didnt had too much coolers and there were a lot of fish at my tables. Hope to play some tomorrow but i dont think this is going to happen. Really need to get laid, so i am also going to make that happen tomorrow !!

I am going to view my new house tomorrow, it is not ready yet but the kitchen merchant needs to measure some things so we need to be there.

Will upload some pics of my new house soon!!

Kind Regards,

Hey Guys,

Another update after a break-even session at NL10
Again i encountered a lot of suckouts, but also a lot of fish, at the end i am exactly break even over 1715 hands. LOL!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602495

I misclicked this one preflop (i wanted to raise), which made me win a good pot.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602469

I should have let this one go on the flop imo.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602446

I hate myself for betting this turn, all the draws hit.
This one is really a check fold on the turn.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602439

Cooler?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602432

I cant fold flop after putting that amount in, can i?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602417

Mmmm, i smelled this one on the river, but i couldnt hold myself from putting him in

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602394

I dont know about this one, straight flush draw, anyone plays this differntly?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602453 - Standard

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602357 - Bluffcall

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=602371 - T_T

The past few session i felt i can play better but i am also getting fucked by pokerstars. I really would like to know how much i actually should be up, i think its alot more then i actually am.

Thanks for reading and placing comments at the hands.

Hey Guys,

Played another session on NL10. I think i did not so well today.
I butchered some crucial hands and i really need to improve that.
Below i will state what i mean with that:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601752

I dont like my play here, imo the river has to be a check/fold

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601745

Guy was pretty tight, 100% re-raising hand? I think then i know more where i stand in this hand. As played is this a shove?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601766

Cooler

Those hands were pretty crucial i think this session, here are some winners:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601810
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601795
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601787
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601741
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=601704

Ah well, at least its a winning session.
However i need to improve those plays, this could have easily been a better session.

Weekend Wrap-up!
  Rocks2BeGood, Jan 04 2009

Hey guys,

So as i stated in my last update, i wanted to get a decent amount of hands in this weekend and i did. It offcourse could have been more but i also need time to spend on my girlfriend so from saturday night untill now i have not been playing any hands.

I think i played ok this weekend, things could have gone better but also a lot worse for sure. I made plays of which i am sure i need to improve but i am allready feeling a lot more comfortable at 6 max. I will be staying on this limit for 30k hands at least so im on track. Below some interesting hands and offcourse stats from the weekend!!

Offcourse feel free to comment on every hand, also if i made it standard or suckout!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600412 - Suckout
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600411 - Flush got there
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600335 - Suckout
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=599820 - Suckout
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600334 - Suckout
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600350

Anyone who also bets the turn there? i had no stats and was not really sure about him, i thought i extract more value this way because i checked turn and then i get value from my river bet more easily

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600346

I need to pay attention to my 3 bet size in this hand, however the 10-7 made me lol

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600344 - Played ok?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600338

Not really happy about this one, do i need to slow down on the turn?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600274

Easy shove or not?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=599974

It looked like a easy shove to me, any comments?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=599791

A friend of mine states i should not fall in love with AK too much, however without stats, do i slow down? Or do i get it in because i also get value from weaker hands.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600322 - Standard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600284 - Standard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600401 - Standard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600077 - I like it
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=600075 - Standard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=599984 - Standard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=599891 - LOL!

Total stats so far for the month:

I am really glad i made this blog, it keeps my motivation high and it feels good to talk about the hands. In the future when i think the hands are standard i will not post them so much, just want to find out if this is really standard or do i have wrong intentions.

Thanks for reading and see you soon.

Kind regards,

2nd Session NL10
  Rocks2BeGood, Dec 31 2008

Hi Guys,

Yesterday i played my second session of NL10 after making the decision to move down and start over at the 6 max micro stakes. I think i played ok but there are some spots where i would like to get some feedback on.

Stats for the session:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=598457

I am a little bit puzzled on this hand i would really like to get some feedback how i played this, here are my thoughts:

- Standard opening raise with a pretty strong hand
- No info on the opponent, he just joined the table
- Foldig preflop after his re-raise felt to weak so i called
- I hit a dream flop for my hand
- He bet really weak so i raised
- He re-raised me and i thought i had that many outs and i should get it on
- He obviousley had top 2 and i did not hit the flush

Any thoughts??

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=598461

I think i played this hand ok, but i think i could have gotten more value if i got it in on the turn. I think he put me on a draw and check folded the river because of that reason. Does anyone c-bet this flop?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=598466

I think this is pretty closed between raising and calling flop, however because of the fact that the flop was pretty dry, i elected to call and he paid me off with two pair. Ok play?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=598471

I like my play in this hand, however maybe i should have bet the turn harder

http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=598869

I hate myself for not betting the flop, i thought it was rainbow but i noticed i was wrong on the turn, i dont think he raises me on the river with hands i beat so i folded. bad fold?

Total stats so far:

I think it should be possible to sustain this winrate at these stakes, i really felt if i played some hands diffirent i would have been way over 10bb/100. But well, we will see in some time...

I am going to my girlfriend to celebrate the New Year with some friends and we will go out after. Probably my next update will be this coming friday, thats when i can play a lot of hands i think.

See you next year!!!

Kind Regards and best wishes,

Ron van den Enden
