I'm moving to party poker because I just can't take the beats on pokerstars anymore. Sure it's most likely a personal thing (eg. why me, why do I always get these bad beats and such). W/e, I cashed out of pokerstars and am going to play on partypoker... possibly move back if i get disguisted with the layout like I did on fulltilt.

I was down -5 buy ins on Stars today. I think I played pretty shit and I did get some whored out beats/coolers AGAIN (like always). My horrible play/tilt attributed to some major spewage. I have to fix these continuation bets (my poker tracker says that I'm positive $$ wise in every position, but negative BB and SB... so I must be doing something wrong with those two positions... anyone have help here?)

These past few weeks from playing poker again has been a rollercoaster ride. Basically I haven't made any money for a month on 10nl. I couldn't figure it out, until yesterday. Today I tested out my new strategy/way of thinking and after 2k hands (even with a lot of beats) I managed to make 3 buy ins.

The single thing that helped me the most was stoxvideos. After watching it yesterday I finally realized what I was doing wrong. Something else that has helped me was from reading all these poker books. It allowed me to think about the game in the long run rather than immediate profit. I don't make the mistake of betting out 7x the bb with Aces and kings out of position... it's just negative ev. The last thing that I learned, which is the most valuable lesson is aggression. I constantly put pressure on my opponents by raising... I rarely call now... which is what Tom basically kept telling me all this time(though I know that I am making a few mistakes here and there by cbetting into wrong opponents). I know 2k hands is a small sample size, however, after playing these two sessions I can just tell that I'm playing a much more solid game.

I didn't necessarily put him on the straight but I reasoned to myself. Who would call a raise here? Only a guy with a straight... I think this call was justified, however, I may have lost some value by not min raising (or even pushing for that matter)

I seriously think I played this hand extremely horribly. I knew I was beat but I couldn't lay it down. The turn bet was horrible as well. I should've checked it and evaluate for the draw... erkk.. I thought to myself. AK beats, me, AJ beats me, no way he's going to play like that w/ AT-. Two pair, etc... I basically make the same mistakes over with my TPTK hands

Another bad play. I had put him on AQ but that shouldn't be justified. His range can be anything. AK would've been more correct. Seeing that he bet 1 into 3 dollars I should've called and hope to hit my boat on the river (or even go unimproved with my two pair vs his... most likely ak holding)

I believe I also played this hand terribly. The guy reraised me preflop. I only had a pair of tens. The turn and river bet pretty much gave me enough clues to tell me that the guy isn't bluffing with AK or AQ (and if he did have AK he hit on the river...)

I played 2k hands today. Down 5 buy ins, made some very very bad plays.

One thing. I'm playing too many tables. Unless I can fix my ability to play SLOWER (I make plays way to fast because I guess I don't want to time out on the other tables...) I'll have to play less tables. I moved from 6-8 tables... not good.

I felt like I was improving, and when I started playing today I started getting sucked out, and started losing money real fast. I kept spewing too (I was looking at pokertracker and I was spewed 50% of the $$ I lost, the other half was suckaments). I blamed that part from being tired and playing instead of sleeping.

So I took a nap, and I was refreshed. In the next session I noticed that I was playing much better, but things quickly started to go downhill. I started getting tired and lost my patience, but I still wanted to break even for the day, I used the excuse of playing 2k hands so instead of being down 3 buy ins i was down 2 more. I played so bad this session, yuck.

So I started making some awful plays, plays which I only realized AFTER I made them. I was like, wtf. I know I'm beat, or that I should fold, but a lot of times I just can't (When I'm playing my a-game, I would fold easily, and would at least try not to pot commit myself).

Not only did I misclick fold. There was a noticable straight draw out there... I didn't even see it! I was way too tired to play and once that happens mistakes are made.

I put mike on a straight (not a flush). Knowing how he plays it was a pretty shitty play imo because he wouldn't call with shit like Q9, and even with KQ I would have beat him... terrible terrible flat by me.

This was a terrible terrible call. It just doesn't make much sense why I'd call this. When I have AQ and someone reraises me I should fold even with a draw there. It wouldn't make sense why someone would raise in an already huge pot just on a draw. Ugh, what was I thinking

I'm going to take a break from this game for a few days to possibly a week. I'm going to really study the hands that I played and how I could've improved on it. I'm going to study like mad, I'm determined to learn this game. The fact is. I'm frustrated not because I haven't made money in the last 2-3 weeks (I've been stagnating, basically from a lot of spews and beats) and I'm getting really frustrated more because I seem to not be learning from my mistakes.
