WCOOPaments!
  JoeDeertay, Aug 31 2009

WCOOP starts wednesday and I can't wait! I'm thinking of doing just NL events. Here is the schedule I plan on playing:

Saturday, 9/5, 12:45 - Event #6 - $109 NLH [$1M]
Sunday, 9/6, 12:45 - Event #9 - $215 NLH [$1M]
Sunday, 9/13, 12:45 - Event #26 - $215 NLH [$1M]
Wednesday, 9/16, 2:30 - Event #34- $215 NLH Big Antes [$500k]
Sunday, 9/20, 12:45 - Event #43 - $215 NLH [$1M]

So that's $969 in buy ins. It's not a lot at all, but I'm still going to try selling some action because I'm having some cash flow problems right now and need to cash out a big chunk of my roll (rent, bills, TEXTBOOKS =[, more bills, etc).

I'm going to probably sell up to 90% of my action in these, with no markup (so buying 10% would cost $96.90). Here are my stats since starting to play MTTs seriously, which was in April of this year:

Stars:JoeDeertay
FTP: The Inquisitor

I've been playing about 30-36 MTTs a day ranging from $2 to $55 buy ins recently in the last few weeks, and I've been posting a shitload of hands while playing if anyone wants to check those out. If any of you are interested then PM me or whatever and we can work something out. Thanks!

GL all,
Joe

P.S. - It would also be cool if I could just get some kind of long-term backing deal with someone, because now that I have to cash out this money that won't be coming back I'm going to be stuck in micro and low MTTs again, which I would not like to do if I don't have to. The only problem with my volume is that I can really only play sundays for the most part because I have 8am class 5 days a week and 18 credits that I need to do really well in, but 35 tourneys each week is still about 140 tourneys a month. If anyone is interested in something like that it would be awesome - just let me know. Thanks again!

woot!
  JoeDeertay, Jul 03 2009

So now that I've been finished with classes for the summer since friday, I thought that I'd start grinding cash again the days I don't have work. I started at NL25 on stars because I've only left about $750 for myself online, but this week has ust been a fucking disaster. I haven't been playing anything near my A game and I know it, and it is really pissing me off and making me play worse. Add that on top of the fact that I am running insanely fucking bad as well. Bad play + bad luck = bankroll death, and although I'm no where near busto I'm down about $315, which is about $360 below expectation. FUN FUN FUN! Here's what my HEM looks like since June 28th (I've had to move down to NL10 since then):

NOTE: The NL50 hands were just from some 1-tabling HU a few days while I was bored or something during the last week of class iirc, before I took $1k offline because I needed cash. So I guess I'm running a little better than I thought but it still sucks. The NL2 hands were from my session testing TableNinja.

Today was the worst single session I've had in a looooong time. I ended up down like 6.5BI in about 3500 hands and was 7BI -EV. WEEEEEEEE!!

So I'm playing like shit and running like shit too, so life really sucks right now. Hopefully this weekend is awesome, though. I have a lot of plans with my friends and lady friend so it should be a good time to just take a break for a few days and get a little fucked up. woot!

GL all,
-Joe

Douchebag fish are funny
  JoeDeertay, May 22 2009

So I was playing the 35k tonight on FTP, and at one point I was about 32/64 and told a friend of mine that I might win it again. So he started watching, and eventually I busted out bluffing an ~14BB stack with QTcc on a K63dd board into and AKo and busting in like 52nd (I raised pre and then shoved for like 2x pot on flop after getting flatted...probably not the best play but I didn't feeling like check folding or bet folding and being shortstacked, so I just went for it, and I thought it might work a lot anyway). I don't have the actual HH because I just closed the software after busting because I didn't really care.

So then I'm just like "well that sucked" and he doesn't say anything. Then my other friend (acdawg712 on LP) IMs me with a transscript of the convo they are having with each other, and neither of us could stop laughing at some of the comments this kid made:

EDIT: This wasn't at a table or anything, but was an AIM convo that we were having, and acdawg was copy-pasting what our mutual douchebag friend was saying about me.

acdawg712 (12:16:30 AM): Douchebag (12:15:31 AM): joe does shit sometimes
Douchebag (12:15:40 AM): that just make no sense
Douchebag (12:15:56 AM): and he tries disguising it with like elevated poker talk
Douchebag (12:16:02 AM): but the fact is is it's a shitty hand
Me (12:16:43 AM): lol
Me (12:16:58 AM): not my fault you dont understand what im fucking saying
Me (12:16:59 AM): moron
acdawg712 (12:17:02 AM): yea
acdawg712 (12:17:14 AM): Douchebag (12:16:35 AM): raising middle position with 10qs
Douchebag (12:16:53 AM): and getting flatcalled at the nittiest table i've ever seen
acdawg712 (12:17:18 AM): i am rofling
Me (12:17:27 AM): lol
acdawg712 (12:17:31 AM): Douchebag (12:17:04 AM): then proceeding to push first to act on the flop that has a king on it
Douchebag (12:17:07 AM): is a straight up bad play
Douchebag (12:17:12 AM): no matter how you look at it
acdawg712 (12:17:50 AM): so funny
acdawg712 (12:21:02 AM): Douchebag (12:20:02 AM): he's so arrogant but he's not that good lol
acdawg712 (12:22:46 AM): LMFAO
acdawg712 (12:22:48 AM): LOL
acdawg712 (12:22:53 AM): hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
acdawg712 (12:22:54 AM): Douchebag (12:22:24 AM): i feel like i'm better than him
acdawg712 (12:23:12 AM): too much for me
acdawg712 (12:24:16 AM): u still here lol
Me (12:24:33 AM): yeah
Me (12:24:35 AM): im talking to him
acdawg712 (12:26:38 AM): this is too funny
acdawg712 (12:27:08 AM): Douchebag (12:25:39 AM): yeah he's so bad
Douchebag (12:26:06 AM): he gets lost in numbers and ranges and shit
acdawg712 (12:27:11 AM): too funny
acdawg712 (12:27:16 AM): i wouldn't even say anything to him
Me (12:27:17 AM): lmfao
acdawg712 (12:27:19 AM): wouldn't no where to begin
Me (12:27:22 AM): im not confronting him
Me (12:27:28 AM): just answering his questions
Me (12:28:08 AM): i mean
Me (12:28:19 AM): he is the one who cant win freerolls for christs fucking sake
acdawg712 (12:29:09 AM): hahahahah
acdawg712 (12:29:12 AM): o
acdawg712 (12:29:18 AM): i missed one funny thing
acdawg712 (12:29:35 AM): Douchebag (12:22:38 AM): i don't really play that much and i don't know the ins and outs of the game
Douchebag (12:22:54 AM): but he uses the ins and outs to mask the fact that he doesn't really know what he's doing
Douchebag (12:23:13 AM): i feel like if you sat me and him down with like 7 other players
Douchebag (12:23:21 AM): in a low blind cash game
Douchebag (12:23:31 AM): i'd definitely do much better than him
acdawg712 (12:29:47 AM): yes if it was 1c/2c
Me (12:29:48 AM): lmfao.....
acdawg712 (12:29:49 AM): prolly
acdawg712 (12:29:57 AM): since you and i would j ust shove every ahdn for the fuck of it

We had a good laugh over all that shit, especially since we know the results this kid has had in poker. He broke his fucking computer screen last night after punching it when he got sucked out in the limit holdem round of the HORSE Ferguson on FTP. He also complains EVERY NIGHT about how bad he runs in the freerolls and can never win anything in any of them...and now he is trying to say I have no idea what I'm doing after making about a 10k or so overall profit since around October. LMFAO

Anyway, GL all

Borgata 500k result
  JoeDeertay, May 19 2009

So I started Day 1B of the 500k Deepstack at Borgata today at 11am, and ended up playing until about 10pm before going busto =[

I had been really cold-decked the entire day, with a lot of big moves on some decent combo draws always missing and a complete lack of any real starting hands to play for about the first 8 hours. The first sign of hope was when I doubled up to about 30BB the hand before the dinner break with AKs shoving over a few limpers and winning a flip against 77. After that I still ran pretty cold, but managed to keep my stack up winning pots without showdowns.

In the end I had about 24k @ 500/1000/100 and raised ATss to 2500 in the CO. Just the BB called, and flop came 929ss. He checks I bet 4k and he snapcalls. Now I'm pretty sure he is on a FD and he MIGHT sometimes have a small PP here. Turn is a 4c and he shoves me in for 17.4k into like 14.5k. I end up calling because I don't want to fold and leave myself to start day 2 with like 10BB, then drive an hour there and back to AC just to shove every hand pre until I bust, and besides I already think I'm ahead a lot of the time anyway. He ends up showing 34ss and holds =[. After that I hung around to watch the table for a bit before finding a 1/2 PLO game, in which I won $390 back in about an hour before going home XD.

Even though I busted, I'm now pretty confident in my play. I managed to last almost the entire day and start day 2 with almost 20BB despite getting verrrrrry few playable hands, and only had to get my stack in once to do it. My reads were also spot on the entire day, and every time I guessed what people had in big hands I was right every time it got to showdown (or was shown down, in some cases). I'm sure if I could ever just get a big hand in a tourney like this while still having a decent stack then I can really do some damage if I keep playing as well as I think I am.

Oh and I got to meet Ari "Bodog Ari" Engel, too. He was in the seat to my left for about the last 8 hours of the day, and he's a pretty cool guy and a REALLY solid player. It was fun watching him play, and I think I learned a little bit from it as well. He was one of the more pleasant table mates...there was this other douchebag who called the clock on me 4 FUCKING TIMES without me tanking for more than a minute before calling the floor. By the third time both Ari and I were kind of verbally annoyed and wondered wtf he was doing. Then he yelled at the dealer for dealing him some stupid cheap bad beat like it was her fault and he stormed out of the poker room for like 15 minutes lol.

<3 teh deepstacked live pokers. Can't wait for WSOP!

GL all,
-Joe

Last day to get action!

Because of the FTOPS ME being sunday I'm gonna go for starting on day 1b at the Borgata on monday.

I'm going to play in the event regardless, but if I can manage to hedge the buy in by selling some action then I might as well try and see what I can get. The buyin is $1650, so 5% would be $82.50 , 10% is 165 , and etc. I guess I'd sell up to 70% if I can somehow get that much. If you're interested then PM me or something and we can work it out. I don't really expect many (if any) people to buy anything, but I figure why not ask anyway? =]

P.S. - Last time they had this event over 900 people played and they crushed the guarantee, and first got $393k or something around there.

Chatbox movie
  JoeDeertay, May 01 2009

I was playing the Midnight Madness and it was my last tourney of a shitty day of grinding, and I was already pissed at how I busted 14th in the $11 1r1a on stars like 10 minutes before thi. I pretty much started going crazy in the chat after getting it in pre with KK against AK and 88 to almost triple up but lost all but like 3BB, and then some railbird just started giving it to me. Acdawg712 was watching and told me I should put the chat into an xtranormal movie, and it actually turned out somewhat funny the way the computer says some of it =P.
