Long time since I made my last entry. In the mean time I didn't play much (was kind of bored of everydays boring grind routine) till about few months ago when I firmly decided to get back to NL100 again (after having to drop due to withdrawing too much followed by a cooler as it usually goes). Also during the process I was mixing games, played some PLO and a lot of Limit where I was doing good ...

October was good in the end

Well October is about to end and this is good moment to summarize all the [censored] that I went through.

Those who read my blog probably remember me for crazy Star's experiment of playing extremely under-rolled and jumping fast through stakes. The experiment failed (obv.), I decided to abandon the operation for the reasons stated in previous entry, went back to where I started, unloaded my ...

(For those who missed) About ten or so days ago I've got some crazy ideas and thought of a 'grand plan' to move up in stakes rapidly - at least it was properly named: Bank Roll Monkey Adventure.

At first I had little swings but pretty quickly moved to NL100, when sick cooler hit me. As it usually goes, hand in hand with Mrs V...

The problem with "thin" BR management is that it takes so little to send you down. And that's what happened: my flopped set of aces ran into a flopped flush. The villain in the hand was aggressive, already caught semi-bluffing and no way I could have folded my top set. Just when I was hoping the cooler was drying out, Variance LOL'ed and slapped me in the face.
Since my "BR&quot...

Back to NL50

I run bad. NL100 despite being fishy, not at all different from NL50, was a big cooler [censored]. Plenty of my value bets w/ TPTK got rivered for an ugliest donk winning hand: lowest two pairs. So I dropped down. And the [censored] continued. Every donk that semi-bluff shoved into my top two hit his draw. Also I tilted a little bit and now I'm down to $157. That is all.

(BRMA update)

Tonight's session was helluva ride. Days before I was running pretty hot so cooler was not much of surprise. I kept playing my standard aggro game only this time I ran into more (nitty)TAGs on a heater then ever - hard to differentiate from ordinary lagtard.

However what really makes me satisfied was that (con...

And adventure continues. After failing the first time my BR (at Stars) dropped to $150-ish. I had to move down to NL25 and in relatively short time had $200+ again.

The second shot at NL50 went smoother. At first there were swings from about $180 to $220, when luck finally evened out...

Recently I discovered my forgotten $80+ on Stars and decided to turn it quickly into something decent.

Here's the setup:

The idea is to start right at nl25 until I make $200. Then I take 'one buy-in shot' at nl50 (at $150 I go back down, rinse, repeat) up to $400. Then I take 'one buy-in shot' at nl100 up to $1000 which is the go...

Finally decided to start a blog of my own. Right now I'm in very low M life phase and blinds and antes are starting to threaten, so putting my thoughts here as well as getting different opinions should 'ground' me a little.

I started my poker career about two years ago at Everest poker with their freeroll limit SNGs. My idea was to...
