So far this month I've played about 30,000 hands and lost about 20 buyins. I played for about 10 hours today and despite my best efforts ended up down 4 more buyins. This continual losing for a prolonged period of time was really beginning to effect my confidence and make me feel that I was playing badly, even though I could see sick beat after sick beat. After getting 2 outered on the river on...

So, after a cashout crippled my bankroll and a well timed downswing took 14 or so buyins from me I was forced to drop down way below limits I can beat. Fortunately I was able to get a stake and for some reason I always seem to run well on borrowed money. Slowly grinding the pennies out without any major sick beats or strings of bad luck. Not running like god but my flushes seem to hit more ofte...

I simply cannot win a hand. I cashed out a lot of my roll for rent after Christmas. Throughout Christmas I was beating nl50 and I left myself with $600 for 25nl. I'm now down to half that. My EV is great, my sick calls in the right places, my bluffcatching great and my TAG regging working fine. What I cannot do is avoid being 2 outered, gutshotted, runner runnered etc. This blog is just a huge ...

So I was lucky enough to be dealt into a stars milestone hand in which everyone gets several buyins and the winner gets like 12 buyins. I read this, considered it briefly, looked down at my K2o and failed to consider the pot odds. The pot odds of a $25 shove into a $310+ pot. So, I folded my K2o. Which is unfortunate because it would have won.

There's an idiot playing really badly and talking shit on my table. Nobody has so much as said a word to him in chat but he insists upon a barrage of personal abuse to the entire table. Unfortunately he was running like God for the first quarter of an hour and quadrupled up. Every time he won a pot he'd tell the loser who he sucked out on that he'd spend it on their mother, or some other such i...

After losing WCGUK to Midian (again lol) I finally threw in the towel with Starcraft and decided to give poker a real shot. I got pretty good at microstakes around Christmas but hadn't really played since then because I got absolutely owned in January and lost half my roll. I'd cashed out most the rest and just left $120 in there. So I started poker again 17 days ago with $120 playing 2nl. I ga...

One thing I've always really wanted to know is my turnover at poker. Rather than just profit (hands won - hands lost - rake) I want to know the total I'd have won if I'd never lost a pot, how much money goes through my hands etc. Any way of getting pokertracker to calculate it?
Thanks.

So I ran sickbad today and dropped 4 buyins which given I was only playing 20 BI deep is a lot. I'll probably move down to be safe. Anyway, I'm tilted with poker and ready to give up for a few days. As such I need another way of recovering some money.

First things first, I'm looking to win money doing this so ideally I'm looking for a degen who hasn't played bw in 2 years but remembers it be...

Been looking at this site for a while for a much more idle poker habit. I play microstakes (25nl) so fairly casually and with uni work increasing soon I'll be playing less than normal. I've been thinking that because pkr isn't compatable with pokertracker it'll have very few regs, and the intensive advertising and ridiculous USP (zomg I can make my person do tells) will make it fishy. If I'm no...

I've been losing pretty steadily for about a fortnight (with one winning day) and have only still got a bankroll because of the dedication and patience of Artanis and Silver. That and moving down over and over. Furthermore I think my continual requests for help have worn out my goodwill with Midian. However today I was able to post a winning day.
So I got speaking to Ket and he laid into me for grinding up from 10nl despite being both able to roll myself at 25nl and having an edge at it. Apparently this kind of thing is hugely bad for progress. Anyway he explained it to me and I got the roll and moved up. And then I got doomswitched and lost over 6 buyins (my stoploss). I wasn't playing badly and I checked a few of the bigger hands with...

I've been unable to win a hand all night. Slowly grinding up a buyin and then being outdrawn for the lot by donks who shove their backdoor flush draws on the flop. Very frustrating stuff. Normally I get at least one decent suckout to counter it but tonight was all bad. Got university now and I've been up all night losing money so all in all I'm pretty pissed.

Since Artanis staked me and I restarted 25nl I've had some fairly big swings. From up 80 to down 40 or so. However one thing has remained universal. I always end within 10 of where I started. Like 4 sessions in a row. And not a progressive where I started in which I could make a few dollars each session but rather within 10 of what I had when I was staked.
This session treated me nicely. I gro...

I'm down about half my bankroll and I've not had a winning session in about 2 weeks. It's mostly just been coolers and bad beats. I'm still confident my play can beat 25nl and I'm just waiting for this doomswitch to end.
A typical hand is this.

I sustained a 12bb/100 winrate at 25nl over Christmas. I made a lot of money. I thought I was pretty good. I tried to move up to 50nl as Christmas was ending and I paid for it.

I now know that I was not as good as I thought I was and that I was simply benefiting from the constant happy hour that is Christmas. Once it was back to regulars I could just about break even at 25nl, and I certainly...

I've started taking shots and at about the same time got doomswitched. I'm not getting the money in behind often, but it's not paying off. Moving down again because I lost 360 trying it. A lot of money to me atm, about a week of running good at 25nl.
I also lost 100 at 25nl. It just wasn't my day today.
