Nothing like a Good Donkament Performance

So the last week I was running really shitty, which led to me playing like crap. But nothing can lift your spirits more than a solid donkament outing. Played in the 30k gtd late last night and Final tabled. Had the chip lead going into the final 4 and enter 3-handed tied for 2nd/3rd. Very first hand I raised 55 on the btn and joe_banks shoved and I called. 55 < KJs and I took home 3.5k. Too bad cause if I could have won that race the other guy was an incompetent donk so Im pretty sure I would have dozed over him for the tourney win. Oh well, still feels good to make up for some of the recent losses.

Session Review NL100

So I played a 2 hr 40 minute sessions earlier today where I dropped like 3.5 buyins in the first 20-30 minutes and it took the rest of the time to recoup and end with a 22 dollar profit....baller. Here are some of the more noteworth hands. I ran 19/16/3.6 during the session which is alittle bit tighter than usual. Frustrating session, but in the end atleast I made money.

This was the begin of the downswing, obviously nothing I could do, just bad luck.

Played this one pretty poorly. Thought maybe he was squeezing and we had been going back and forth on the 3-betting and thought maybe he was squeezing. It was such a small raise in hindsight oop that it didnt look like a squeeze.

Probably should have 3-bet preflop and defined my hand better. After I just called preflop I turned into a donk calling station and got seriously valuetowned. Playing this way where do I fold it? Can I really fold the turn? or is just the river a fold?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/265013
Shortie who was a donk calling station, eventually stacked him and he put it in pretty light, but i dont think anyone plays this different right?

Here are some of my bigger winning hands
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/265016
Top Two. I was sitting 400bbs deep and him 200bbs deep, i didnt want to get raised obviously. But just valuetowned him.

Here I stack the donk, only a matter of time
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/265019
Hit a flush draw on the flop. Bet the turn or take a free card? I took a free card and eventually still got in.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/265024
Intersting hand. He had been 3-betting me quite often and I had been folding to them I think every time. I was in position with a drawy hand and decided to call this time. I totally float the flop and get the best card for me on the turn to give me a monster draw. I push and he folds. Probably not the smartest idea, but once in a while i think its good to mix it up.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=265025
Raise a good hand oop and continue a king high flop, in which a shortie calls. I hit a great card for me on the turn and even though i have zero fold equity, i got to put him in.

So a brief background on my poker career. Started playing in small 5 dollar games on the side at college. Got addicted and 2 years ago started playing on the internet. Started playing 5 and 10 dollar sit n gos and right away was pretty successful and moved up to 20 to 30 dollar sit n gos. I was playing alot and my schoolwork suffered so I quit for a while, but could not resist the lure. Finally switched from PokerRoom to FullTilt when their Mac version was released last year. Continued with sit n gos and small tourneys, had a couple decent cashes, and was eventually playing 100 dollar sit n gos regularly. I struggled with the variance and eventually was shown the light of cash games and now play only cash games with a few tourneys on the side. Started at NL50 and moved to NL200 pretty quickly. Spent 2 months there and had trouble with tilt control and bankroll management. Im playing NL100 on Pokerstars right now. Have been following this site for a couple months and am going to try and post alot of my sessions here and any constructive, destructive criticism is welcome.
