WCOOP

I haven't written in my blog for a few weeks now and I felt like doing so today. I played a bunch of WCOOP events this year even though I hardly have any tournament experience. It was fun and thrilling to play them and I got pretty deep in a few of them. Unfortunately I didn't get to the big amounts so overall I lost money in the WCOOP. The WCOOP 320R PLO event cost me 2400$ because I ran pretty bad there. In the end I bubbled pretty close to the money while having a shortstack for the most part in the tourney. I had a chance to triple up when I got it in with aces preflop but I got sucked out having 42% equity in the pot 3way. In all the hold'em events the tourney I got deepest in was the 530$ WCOOP (event 6 I think). I even was 2nd in chips with 1200 players left but it all went downhill from there.

Oh well, doesn't matter that much, I liked playing the tournaments and it was definitely a good experience. Overall I think I lost around 4k on the tournaments I played this month.

Cashgame

Apart from trying those tournaments, I also tried playing some more 2kNL this month. I got totally butchered there as I ran obnoxiously bad there and I dropped 17k on 2kNL.

I really have no idea how much I'm up or down because I've played some omaha at stars and I lost 4k in omaha at Propaganda. At least I know I'm up in NLHE though as those hands are saved.

I also tried playing some more headsup on 400NL just to get a feel for the game. I played pretty good and ran pretty decently beating a few headsup regulars for a bunch of buyins. I think I have a really big edge against the HU regulars there. It also helps that they don't recognize my screenname, because when I tried playing 1kNL HU the regulars that I noticed from the 6-max games wouldn't play me. Because of the headsup wins I have a pretty sick winrate at 400NL this month. I also ran pretty well in the 600NL games so my winrate there is also really good. So this month is still decent considering I lost 17k on 2kNL.

So all in all I think I'm around break-even this month which isn't all that bad. Just gotta grind more mid limits before taking shots at 2kNL again.

Stats and graph of the month

2kNL shots at 18k and 25k hands obv ;).

So this is missing the WCOOP losses, the PLO -4k on iPoker and the money I won at stars in PLO. All that added up and I'm about breakeven with rakeback etc.

Hope to run better in October. That's what I love about new months anyway, a fresh start. No worries about that you were up a lot of money and lost it all in a big session or whatever, you're at 0$ again.

Good luck everyone in october.

Pokerwise September hasn't been my month yet. I keep having these sessions where I play solid and just grind a profit but then everything goes into a shitstorm and I lose all my profit to a bunch of dumb beats. Today was such a day. I grinded up 3 buyins in 1500 hands, good for 5ptbb/100, only to lose it all by losing AQ against AJ on an A high flop, losing JJ against KQ on T high flop, stuff like that. I also made a few big bluffs that were pretty well excecuted in my opinion, but I ran into the nuts twice so that kind of sucks too.

So far my September graph looks like this:

So I haven't really lost anything yet so that's ok but given that I haven't been running well it does kind of suck that I haven't made profit yet in those 7000 hands. I'm happy that I played that amount of hands in 4 days though, because yesterday I didn't play at all.

On other news my second video (50NL 4 table 6max) was released and I haven't really received a lot of feedback on that so it would be nice if you guys could give me pointers or just tell me that I did a good job ;).**

On other news I had a friend over this evening to talk about moving into a place in Amsterdam or something surrounding Amsterdam. We went searching for some apartments and we'll probably want to move out somewhere between now and the next 3 months. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

** crossposted from ballerpoker.com - what people might not now here is that the streaming version off the vids we have over there isn't working correctly yet, that's why you have to download the original. The link is under the streaming version. Just download that one and you can watch it.

We strongly encourage everyone to submit reviews for any rakeback affiliate they have used in the past or are currently using. We are currently in the process of building a database, and we are hoping it grows quite rapidly.

We're also running a couple of promotions right now at Rakeback Critic! Submit a review and automatically be entered to win a $200 cash prize deposited onto the online poker site of your choice!

Plus that's not all! Every 25th review poster wins a cash prize deposited onto the poker site of their choice!
