bunch of stuff that sucks

here are some things that suck:

- Tom just busted WSOPE AA v KK with maybe about 20bb stack. He got in some unfortunate situations before that to get down to being short.
- EPT london is totally sold out and the waiting list is now 76 people long. Luckily Jon and I had already bought in, but sadly again for Tom, and our friend Fionn, they had not. They're now 75th and 76th on the wait list to get in
- The Vic casino are having a meeting now on whether or not to let extra people in over the 500 cap. While it'll be cool for those guys (maybe) if they do let more in, it'll suck for me because the tourny was advertised at 500 max players with 500k added to prizepool, and if they let more in the added money will be shared out more thinly than was advertised at my time of registering. so the deal im getting is worse than the deal that was dangled in front of me
- Lastly this sucks for the guys that bought pieces of me in EPT London (Raidan, Timdawg and Fayth) but I've decided I no longer want to sell any action so I'll be sending your money back in the next few minutes. This seems a bit scummy but I've now asked several impartial friends if it can be deemed unethical and nobody seemed to think so. As extra apology I will be sending back 100$ extra each to the 3 that bought pieces previously
- phil hellmuth. LOL at open limping with 15bb and limpfolding when zolotow raised, being shown T2o and going on mad tilt steaming and cursing about how these idiots just raise his limps like he was being born yesterday..... then later on his bustout hand open limping utg with 10bb trying to look inconspicuous and saying "JUST A LIMP BOYS!". i inwardly say HAHAHAHAH I WONDER WHAT U HAVE THIS TIME as i fold while half the rest of the table limps to see a multiway limped pot with hellmuths pocket kings, and he gets allin with the best of everyone elses hands which happens to be a set. gg hellmuth, totally deceptive limp!

bahhhhhhh. Busted nearly 6 hrs into day 2 to Brandon Adams, just before the dinner break. Hand went like this:

400/800/100a i have something like 40-45k, Brandon Adams covers by a lot and has a monster stack.
I open K9dd to 2400 from mp, BA calls from cutoff and smallblind calls.
Flop KJx rainbow, sb checks I bet 4500 into 7300-7400 or whatever, BA calls, sb folds.
Turn blank putting a flushdraw out, I check/call 10k planning to c/c a blank riv. Riv offsuit King I follow through with my plan and get stacked by jacks full.

Relevant history:
- I have a pretty aggressive image and have been winning several pots without showdown. I've also lost a couple pots without showdown on the river, folding after putting in some chips on previous streets
- I've fourbet allin on BA when he's 3bet my late pos open once successfully
- I've tried to triple barrel BA on a 6865A board unsuccessfully after opening pre and having him flat in position. I had QTo and my original plan was to double barrel and give up but put in a begrudging third barrel when riv came an ace and got minraised allin.
- He has called my pf opens a couple of times, once i just check/folded flop multiway and another time i cbet/gave up i think. I think he is happy to call pre with a wide range against my opens and expect to have a good postflop edge on me using position and threatening chip stack. I've adjusted by tightening and depolarising my opening range to hands that can make decent top pairs hoping to get thinner value. K9s is the absolute marginal bottom end of what I was opening there.

I feel it was a semi-cooler in that specific situation against that specific opponent with our history/dynamic. oh well.

Other random thoughts:

- Tom is still in and has about 100k chips and is crushing some fools. He bluff 5-bet pre against Johnny Lodden and showed A6s when lodden mucked. He also bluff-cold fourbet facing a raise and reraise and showed a 3 when they both folded (he had J3o)
- The show against Lodden is okay imo, but he def shouldn't have shown in the other hand. He just wanted to look cool on TV because the cameras came around his table at that time. (that was his reason for showing, not his reason for the bluff in the first place, it was a good spot for the bluff)
- Hellmuth is dead money in a nl tournament field of competent players. i have no doubts he's world class at super soft huge nl tournaments with tons of terrible amateurs but today he was the worst player and least threatening on the table. It's ridiculously easy to play against someone who will NEVER risk putting it in bad no matter how short they get, to the extent he starts making irrational folds faceup with good hands he should be gambling with.
- Steve Zolotow is a funny guy and monster gentleman
- Massages at poker tables are not fun and a waste of time. infact massages in general seem stupid
- Matusow used to be cool but plays like a huge nit nowadays. Also he seems to have live tells even I can spot.
- Tons of young american internet players made it down here to play. They were all good.
- I need to win flips vs shortstacks instead of lose flips vs shortstacks, stat
- The venue was nice and London is a sweet city

So i played day 1a today. the good news is im still in but the meh news is i only have 26k (start 20k). Day 2 blinds start at 250/500/50 i think so still a bunch of room to play. I never fell below the start stack but yoyo-d it up and down from 20-50k a few times. I played the first 6 hours on the tv table with phil ivey, mike matusow, steve zolotow and a couple other guys who i prolly should have heard of but haven't, oh and a token attractive female, why not. too tired to go over all my hands now but needless to say i had my funs. pretty satisfied overall with how I played. I'm telling u guys the tilting faster than monkeys days are behind me now, I'm good at live donkaments and intend to play a lot more big ones around europe (though sadly i absolutely must miss ept budapest). if people who bought action from me want I can start posting updates in day 2 from my iphone during breaks. jesus, speaking of which, im feeling like a massive jackass for being overcome with nittiness enough to sell a single cent of my action in big good-structured live donkaments. never again. if anyone that bought a piece of me in ept london wants to sell it back plz plz plz message me asap and i'll be more than happy to buy it back. or if you want to reduce your exposure and sell some of it back and keep a smaller % thats fine too.

edit: lol

eh too bad i had KQ though :( but he later told me he calls if riv isnt a 4?? :S :(:(

edit2: pokernews are just as consistently hopeless as ever with reporting hands right. riv was a 4 and i bet the flop too. bet sizes are wrong too. holy mackerel
