<title>Running Bad and pinbaLL</title>
        <link>http://iop.liquidpoker.net</link>
<description>So pinbaLL was at my place for the week, and we grinded together. I played a bunch of donkaments and he grinded cg. pinbaLL is a really fun and cool guy, and it's always nice to meet someone that you talk to over the internet.

We bought starcraft too, and I stopped playing 2001-2002 so I was &quot;sort of&quot; rusty. Now that I have starcraft I might log some games, the opponents are alot tougher nowadays, but its probably because I suck atm.

I've been running insanely bad in donkaments, pinbaLL saw how I was running and it's not fun. I consider myself to be a fairly decent donkament player, I asked pinbaLL alot of questions what he would do in certain spots to compare, and its nice getting a second opinion. So thanks pinbaLL, and I am also playing mtts on pinbaLLs stake, so let me run good once please.

Here are some of the hands I've busted with, whilst being fairly deep:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/474098 - Todays butso-event
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/473635 - one time please
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/473084 - even though he's short it still sucks
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/467832 - meh, can I blame him?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/461236 - FT busto
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/470032 - not deep enough
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/472075 - standard shove?

Missed a bunch more, I can't win flips, and I cant reach a FT to save my life :(

On a sidenote, Flight of the Conchords rock (thanks saki for reminding me about them)

        <title>Pics from Krakow</title>
        <link>http://iop.liquidpoker.net</link>
<description>I was in Krakow from Tuesday - Saturday with a friend and his mother. We had a 3 bedroom apartment a few minutes from the main square. We basically just went out every day and ate decent food. I didnt by much down there except for a Poland sweater (since we were in Krakow when Poland played Austria, and i had to represent). I did however buy a pair of new D&amp;G shoes which were really nice.

I didnt have a digital camera with me, so I took the pics with my cellphone.

Other then that, I am running beyond shitty, so please let me run good just once. I bought holdem manager, and it's a pretty sweet program I must say. Here is a graph:

        <title>Sick weekend</title>
        <link>http://iop.liquidpoker.net</link>
<description>So the weekend before last, I was in Stockholm (the weekend I bravely tried to organize a Euro LP meetup) and failed misarebly.

Went up on Wednesday and went out to Laroy and White Room. Thursday was Cafe Opera where I saw David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Steve Angelo. Friday was foresta (hence the pics), Laroy and White Room. Saturday was a Surprise party for a friend. Sunday, Jakob and I flew home together.

So that weekend was sick sick expensive, but it was alot of fun. We were three people who talk the train up together, the nightclub guy, a guy called jakob and myself.

We had alot of fun with Erik (the nightclub guy) made fun of him being a &quot;celeb&quot; in Stockholm, since everyone knows him - Dont get me wrong, im very thankful towards him since I never have to stand in a line or pay to get into a nightclub. Erik gets back at Jakob, since Jakobs dad is CEO for Volvo he starts making fun of Volvo, like if Jakob is talking to some girls at the nightclub, Erik would step in and ask them if they would like a Volvo and with what interior, and I get to make fun of them both:)

This weekend I'm going to my Boarding Schools reunion, I will update you guys with pics after the weekend.</description>

        <title>Starcraft to Poker</title>
        <link>http://iop.liquidpoker.net</link>
<description>From being an avid Starcraft freak when I was younger to an avid poker player. I came in contact with Starcraft in 1998 whilst visiting my cousins in Huntington Beach in Ca. I don’t think I even played, I just watched him play against CPU’s. A year later, I was living in Germany at the time, a guy in my class was in a clan called ($). A couple of others from my school were in the same clan and I got to play a couple of matches with them. Some of you might recognize iD.GioM, he was one of the guys that went to my school in Munich. I played a couple of games at home, but nothing too serious. I moved back to Sweden in 2000-2001 and found out that a guy in my class also played Starcraft. So being the cocky guy, I decided to challenge him to a 1v1 and proceeded to get my ass kicked in a way that was very embarrassing. This guy was [SofS]Muffe or TupU)1337(LupU for the old sc (not bw) Swedish guys. He tought me a lot, and for a full year I played daily. My days consisted of my going to high school to a class where I did not fit in, I was “majoring” in science in high school, and the people and I were from two different worlds. I couldn’t give a shit about school. I however got together with my first girlfriend at the age of 15-16 and when I wasn’t playing I was either with her or talking to her on the phone. We still had a 56k modem back then, so the line was busy basically 24/7 since I was either talking to her or other friends or playing sc. I even managed to set up a HotlineSW server on there (if anyone remembers HotlineSW). I started getting pretty decent after a full year of just playing, and after the summer holidays my mother asked my if I wanted to change schools to a boarding school. All of my best friends were at a boarding school called Sigtuna in Sweden, so naturally I thought that was the place we were going to check out. Obviously it wasn’t, we went to the smallest of the “Three famous boarding schools” – which I had never heard about. I was pretty stoked whilst being up there, met a guy whom I partied with the previous summer, and a week went by and I started at the school moving into my new dorm called “The Volcano”.

The school had a wack 3mbit, which was like a dream come to compared to my 56k modem at home, but the only down fall was that they had a firewall so I could not continue playing Starcraft. I decided to become a StarcraftGamers (now GosuGamers) admin and writing news, I was at the WCG2004 for Sweden and I got to meet a bunch of BW people. At this boarding school, even though we had a firewall a bunch of people were playing CS at LAN. So I slowly started to play cs 2003-2004 but only on LAN. We even went to a LAN competition to compete against other teams, we however did not have the luxury of praccing against other teams. I didn’t get to play since I was pretty bad, but I wanted to play some starcraft whilst being there, naturally their firewall fucked the internet over, so I could only play LAN. I found a couple of guys who were playing and asked me if they wanted to play me. I played against the first guy and beat him, and then he and his friend played me 2v1 and I managed to beat them again. I found an oldschool Swedish player from the clan “Shaotung” and played him. We had an hour long game TvP on LT which I lost. It was fun playing a good guy again, and I remembered how much I used to like this game.

After 2004 when I graduated from high school I went into the army and I did not play any games for a full year. After getting dischared in may 2005, I took It easy that summer, and the fall of 2005 was when I started gaming again. A lot of people from LP were getting into poker, as was I. I remember playing shortstack NL50 and loosing. I didn’t take poker too seriously but I started getting into Counter-Strike. A good friend of mine whom I played with at boarding school had suddenly become pretty good and was playing with the Swedish elite scene. I was envious and vowed to become better than him. I played a lot, but I am a pretty slow learner, as I was with starcraft so I wasn’t getting better very quickly. Feb 2006 was the month that I moved upto Stockholm to work, a friend of mine from boarding school who is an old school Counter-Strike player moved with me and we became room mates. We played a lot of CS and some poker. He was better than me, and could grasp different aspects of the game, while I was trying to win every pot I entered. Our 2v2 skills were real good, and we’ve probably only lost about 5% of the games that we’ve played. I started working at an IT company doing SEO for Pokerlistings (one of our clients), and became friends with a Swedish poker player called Terrible Turk, and some other 5/10 regs that were working as editors. We started playing afterwork, and on fridays and I was getting my ass kicked by them. Nov 2006 I re-registered at LP and I didn’t want to post anything in the discussion forums because I was afraid of getting berated, I however went to the room next door at work to talk with these poker players about hands that I played, and I slowly progressed into a decent mtt player. My first big mtt win was Feb 2007 where I placed 3rd in the Daily Double on FTP for about $900. I thought I was on top of the world and started playing NL100, at $1500 I played NL200 and at $2000 I played NL400. I remember playing with ToTMidan at NL200, a week later I was busto and pissed off. I vowed myself to become a better mtt player and to only play mtts. I played in this team poker league with 6 other guys which we managed to win. After that I went on a mtt downswing til July where I had a decent month with another $1000 cash. I played on a Swedish site and was dominating HU sngs (low stakes). I even started playing some NL300 and NL700 live at the casino with moderate success. Homegames and mtts at work were going good. In June 2007 I changed positions from being a Site Manager at work (doing SEO for Pokerlistings) to becoming a Project Manager for an e-commerce project. After doing that for 6 months I got depressed for reasons only God knows, and I quit my job and moved back from Stockholm to Malmö where I hadn’t lived since before boarding school. Fall 2007 was good for poker, both mtt wise and cg wise. In December I gave cash games another shot, and deposited 1k and started playing NL50 on Crypto. Still had some tilt issues, but finished + overall. I was crushing mtts there, even though the structure sucked donkey balls. I withdrew the money I deposited, plus another 1k (roughly?). I finished 4th on Stars 20+2 mtt for $1.5k. I stopped playing cs competitively in November 2007 after almost daily gaming.

January 2008 – I was finally home in my home town and I started off the year by donking a 20+2 on ongame for $1.5k. Went on a downswing at NL50, and withdrew my money. I continued playing donkaments on stars but never really getting deep enough, I either bubbled or FT bubbled which was pretty aggrevating. Suddenly I started getting deep in everything I entered, and got some staking opportunities. And finally 2 weeks ago I got my biggest cash for 3.5k + running well at NL100 on ftp. The past months I started to see poker on a whole different level, my understanding of the game is well, and my tilt factor is gone. I haven’t tilted in the past 6 months. I feel my mtt game is very strong, and my cg is above average. I withdrew my roll after my win, because I wanted to party in Stockholm and do other stuff. I forgot to write that in Feb 2008 I started working for a market research company as a Supervisor in a call centre. So I get to deal with teenagers and being an office manager is always nice. I however quit my job a week ago, and I am on my 2 weeks notice (the company is pretty messed up I’m afraid). I however will continue working part time here just to take it easy, and I will start studying next fall in Lund or in Malmö. I will also donk a big mtt soon, I can feel it coming...

I forgot a lot of mtt scores, and I cant be bothered to look back and update where I missed them..

I hope you guys enjoyed the read, and I hope you run good!

/Chris

        <title>MTT's and what not</title>
        <link>http://iop.liquidpoker.net</link>
<description>So the past 4 weeks or so, I've been constantly getting deep but never really all the way. Yesterday I managed to donk a 2nd place for $3.5k which was nice. Thanks alot fazi for helping me out (even though you fell asleep:)). Thanks to everyone else for the support too.

I managed to have probably the worst evening of my life. Some messed up stuff first that I dont want to go into. We took a cab from Malmö (in Sweden) over to Copenhagen (in Denmark), went to a nightclub there. I got pissed off one was fairly drunk so I decided to go back to Malmö. So I took a walk and somehow found the centralstation, I bought a package of ciggs and managed to loose my wallet, now I have 2 credit cards and 2 debit cards and basically my life in my wallet. So as soon as I notice that its gone I call a friend and ask him for all of the numbers so I can block my cards. Now, I'm alone at the train station with no money and no wallet. I somehow find $100 in my pocket, so I can pay for the train and the bus home, so the next train comes in like 30 mins, so I hop on and manage to fall asleep. I have this foreigner who is standing infront of me when I wake up in Malmö, im like wtf and proceed to get out. Then I remember, wait I didnt pay for the train (SHIP IT), I however look in my pocket for my money and it's not there anymore. So that guy stole money off of me. I however find like $10 in change for the bus, which is basically exactly what it costs. I take the bus home, and manage to wake up at the last station, the bus driver comes and wakes me up and asks me where I was supposed to get off, I tell him where, and he's like: &quot;well I'm leaving in 20 mins so just fall asleep again&quot;. Suddenly he comes back and im like wtf? It turns out its been 30 minutes and Im at my bus stop. So I get off the bus and fall asleep in my bed at 10 am.

I wake up at 13am with 3 hours sleep feeling shit, and regretting the night before and everything I said to people, Im such a moron some times. So feeling like shit a friend asks if I wanna play cs, because they needed one more guy. So I'm like, im hungover and I dont really play any more but yeah ok. I end up playing fairly well for a change, and suddenly I get this phone call. So this danish guy found my wallet, and is like &quot;dude your cards are safe, you can pick them up on monday&quot;. So im like, wow I run good. But all of my cards are blocked which is fucked up, and I was sort of pissed off because I really liked my wallet too (its a ralph lauren one).

So then fazi writes to me on msn wondering if I want to play any mtts, so I told him that yeah I'm going to play some. So he's like play the 300+22 6max in one hour and I'll stake you. I had slept like 3 hours and wasnt feeling very well, so I told him it would be -ev at this time. Some time goes and he's like there is a 100+9 starting in an hour, ill stake you if you want to play it. So I got itm, and shipped him back the 109.
