[200NLHU] Recovery

After my last 400 hands went so shitty, losing flips and stuff, I decided to take a break for the night. Went downstairs, ate some food, watched the new Family Guy episode. Eating gave me some time to cool off, and I decided I wanted to play some more.

All of the following happened in a span of 48 hands:

Best hand wins!

Thin calldown FTW!

Pair + nut flush draw

Good turn / river (was probably ahead anyways)

Value push is goot

Decent recovery :). Now I can go to bed happy :P.

To sum it up:

[200NL] vs AGGROSTATION

Had my largest HU upswing today @ 200NL vs SFisch4. I've never seen the guy around the HU tables, so I figured I'd stack him and then he'd leave, like most of the other unknowns do. Luckily for me, he was an uberfish that NEVER believed me. Every time I would stack him, he would say "nh" and reload. After I stacked him, he became uber aggressive whenever checked to, and never believed my c/r. He was 3betting me 70% of the time (with him oop), so I sat around a while for good hands to 4bet with. He called about 50% of my 4bets :).

Highlights:

Draw hits, was good anyways

He becomes aggro

Doesnt believe c/r

TP is goot

He calls to split... or LOSE!

Flush hits, horrible river

Settttttt

AA vs tilt push

He finally left after that last hand. I wish everyday were like this...

HU @ 200NL

Most of you probably don't know me, except for the occasional hands I post. My name is Devin and I started playing online poker my senior year of HS, but only got into it seriously when I met Sean (Day[9]) and Corwin (Myth) during my sophomore year at college (pretty awesome when you have two amazing friends to learn from first hand). Sean introduced me to the idea of 12 tabling. I started out at penny stakes, and eventually got to 50NL where I was a slightly better than average player (6max). My BR oscillated between 30bi and 60bi (for 50NL), with the occasional jump up to 100NL, only to get raped and have to move back down to 50NL. I took a break for a while, but got back into 6 max earlier this year. I lost 70% of my bankroll, got pissed off, and took some more time off of poker.

A few months ago, Corwin introduced me to HU poker, and gave me a nice start by spewing about 5bis to me at HU 50NL. Ever since then, it's been (mostly) all up. In no time at all, I moved from HU 50NL to 100NL. Over the last month, I've managed to build a BR for 200NL. Tonight was the first night I've played HU 200NL. The initial new limit nervousness quickly wore off. Here is the chronological progression of important (large) hands vs Char1emagne:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/344759
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/344760 (first flip lost @ 200NL)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/344765
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/344766 (not sure if he was lying...)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/344773 (are you fucking jokin me? lol)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/344775
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/344788 (i luckbox on my draw)

He left after that last hand and said I was a horrible player (lots of people tell me that after I take their money).

I'm always interested in improving my game. If you have any advice for a new 200NL fish, let me know :).

Merry Christmas.
