definately an awesome article, will help me a lot in my future, now that i started.
you couldn't be more right about the music, i tend to play really sloppily when im listening to pop/whatever music. gonna try playing even more focused now

I don't completely agree with the music. I find that if I'm 24 tabling or doing a lot at once music seems to help me get into the zone and play my sessions focused a lot longer than if I'm not listening to music. I think poker requires a different kind of concentration for me though because if I'm programming I can't listen to any music at all or I'm not able to come up with what I'm trying to accomplish.
Also, for concentration on those long and grueling days try taking vitamins and ginkgo biloba a little bit before you start. |
