vice guide has so much good content even if you just click on random stuff (what i did was use the search button, and its way easier), the only thing keeping their site from being super popular is their god awful website
this has subtitles so dont worry (very informative about russian mob life)

Didn't see the online videos, but I've been watching the HBO show and have been loving it. The super nerdy guy who weighs like 100 lbs but gets into warzones with Al Qaeda is basically my hero. All the episodes are good but I gotta say that the North Korea episode was just on a completely different level.

People not making their own drugs makes them lazy? You know it is difficult and highly illegal to grow poppies and convert the latex into heroin right? That takes a masters degree in organic chemistry not just the will to get up off the couch.
Insane ignorance such as yours is one of the few things that really does tilt me.
Btw this isn't something to wonder about considering Aghanistan is one of the biggest heroin producers and Russia spent a lot of time there before the americans :D

somewhat surprisingly, i highly enjoyed their interview with matthew lesko. i assume most everyone has seen bits and pieces of his maniacally cheesy infomercials at some point, but if you've never heard of him at all it probably won't be as enjoyable.

The North Korea ones really blew my mind. I don't know if most people know but the correspondent in the documentary about the North Korea having labor camps in parts of Russia was basically kidnapped and taken captive while the Ukraine-Russia (Crimea) conflict was going on. I don't know whatever became of this but I really respect the journalists who go to these extremely dangerous places to report on important issues and conflicts going on in the world
