now see, if i check back on the turn what do i accomplish? if he has me beat, he will push the river and i HAVE to call, because he'll be betting just under the pot size, so "pot control" is irrelevant because i will not be able to avoid going broke against a better hand. it also allows him to improve over my AJ, which is something i also don't want. shoving the turn might fold out a weak ace or an 8+dia draw, whereas half pot will get those hands more likely to play (call or push), maybe thinking i am betting so little to fold to a push.
basically yeah i want to give them more opportunities to make a mistake, which checking back on thet urn does not accomplish. if we had $400 each i would definitely check the turn

also be cool (probly won't want to) if you could make a vid on 400/600NL and show how you adapt to more experienced players and reasonings for why you re-pop a lot (i think you mentioned something about this in another thread)
