THIS IS MY FRIENDS HAND that a couple people are contemplating. Tell us what you think.

He says:

"Multik: 23/19, 60% f/3bet, 83% from ep, 994 hands... 2.0 river agg. History vs Multik classifies him as a bad player... I gave up on the turn but everything changed when he bet river $28. Seemed very weak: Felt like a J would pot bet as it looks bluffier 1), and 2) if he put me on a hand that was going to call anyway he'd want max value. $28 bet imo seemed like air, 10, or 9s and under a RARE amnt of the time. Could call A high for value but felt he could still have a weak pair that beat me, so decided to raise him off it. Crazy play or not?"

any reads on how villain reacts to 3bets?

at first glance i dont like this bcuz you rep absolutely nothing.

also i dont know if you can make those assumptions about his bet sizing without a specific read. it seems like to you, a pot bet looks bluffy so you expect villain to think the same. a lot of ppl will certainly value bet this size.

After checking the turn, what hands can you play like this for value?

Hero says:

"in retrospect, if I had JJ, 10s or J10, I felt some of the time I would check behind the turn because his calling range shrinks up to just a few hands going into the river. But, if he had floated with any broadway draws or under pairs (which he would fold on turn imo) I felt I would get a bluff bet on river vs those hands. So is it fair to say I could still rep those hands?"

why don't you just call his bluff

this is some epic leveling

yea i think youre way leveling yourself. what you havent mentioned is his 3bet calling range though, thats pretty important, although id imagine hes calling with a lot more crap in this hand since you guys are pretty deep.

either way, you repping almost nothing combined with the fact that its very easy for him to have Jx or something here makes this bluff really bad imo.

one flaw that seems to be in your thought process is you assume other players think the same way you do.

you need to have some sort of read before making these assumptions. it looks like youre projecting your thought process onto him.

yeah i def agree with all of you..

this isnt my hand though, just posting it for a lurker who wanted some input from other regs. so instead of "you", say "he" or "your friend" to make me feel better lol

This is a totally standard value bet by villain. No need to get fancy here. Just fold and proceed to the next hand.

300 BB deep I'm never checking this turn with boat/quads. I'm not looking to win a 50 bb pot when we are so deep and have the nuts.

TheHuHu4 coming soon :)

i know its not you, but i assume your friend is reading this so typing 'you' should be fine...dont see what the big deal is anyway.

it's really him ;o

also I dont really like it. Bluffing a lot to win a little and it won't necessarily work enough to make it profitable

This.

And I think its standard to bet turn with TT and check with JJ without specific reads. But then again, its not like you're going to 3b TT or JJ all that often preflop given how deep it is.

Highly dislike, you don't rep anything and I don't think he's gonna fold anything that he's value betting. If villain folded then hero prob had the best hand anyway, e.g. AQ or KQ.

One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hope
