Where do you think you messed up? Bet bet bet vs unknown villain seems good to me. His line looks very much like a flush and he isn't raising the river with worse for value so folding to his raise is probably the right play.

After all is said and done, more is said than done.

ok hmm. is it ever ok to check the turn? and was bet sizing ok?

Checking turn is bad. There are lots of worse hands he can cal you with. Of course we dont like that the flush hit but it's better to bet and fold if he raises than to check-call. If he has the flush you lose a bet either way but if he has worse you only get value by betting.

As for sizing you want to cbet big, around pot, with your set on this draw-heavy flop. Your cbet is on the small side but not horribly small. If you usually cbet 2/3 pot it looks suspicious if you suddenly pot it (if ppl are paying attention) so I dont hate your size.

I'd bet bigger on turn and river (hopefully shoving river for potish). As played fold is good though.

good disciplined fold, many people say fuck it and call knowing they are beaten
