this board is kindof ugly to slowplay on
cards like 6, 8 and J are also going to slow others down

i'd raise to 60$ and shove any turn

i dont get it, you dont expect him to squeesh you light here while you are UTG yet you call this 3bet OOP with 99 planning on doing what postflop?
you'll have a hard time playing this OOP 3w. as played i would check/raise, but i dont mind donking this flop either.

The call preflop is not cause i think our 99 ever is good vs villains range. I called trying to spike a set multiway 160bb deep vs an aggressive villain. Figured i had enough implied odds to make the call +EV multiway since this fish also calls a ton of the time in this spot.

Ill raise here

ill wit it

btw i'd much rather spike a set against a really really tight villain, since that means he always has KK or AA here (while he shouldn't be so tight that he ever folds it postflop)

the loose/aggro squeezer will simply dump his A3s to your checkraise

i rly think you are overestimating your odds here. to set hunt in 3b pots i usually am looking for a spot with at least 200bb in position.

and even if u do hit you arent gonna get paid everytime you hit, so i rly hate your preflop play with the intension to sethunt.

If i think he's out of line here im more inclined to turn my hand into a 4bbluf then calling OOP and playing it postflop. and i rly dont mind folding nines to a squeesh in general.

meh i think a c/c on the flop would be alright the better and or more likely he is to think (realize) you are nutted and not bluffing here

traxamillion   United States. Aug 24 2010 18:05. Posts 10468

like would you raise jj or QJ* on this flop? and if you do slowplay on this flop while a few turns are bad some are going to be really good and get you paid off whereas with a flop raise you lose the action.

since you are deep you should usually raise... I mean you can slowplay but shit turn/river will come to you kill ure action if not ure hand.

its 3 to the flop in a 3bet pot so although you are 150bb deep the spr is pretty low

i dont like a call here at all altho a raise scares overpairs pretty much- calling and c/shoving blank turn or c/c turn if you boat up seems fine too but many ugly turns to put you in ugly spots here.....

pfffffff...

WHAT IS THIS

ye, that's what i think too (and what i did). my question though is if it's ever more +EV to call in a situation like this while we're multiway?

I'd never call here, seems to me, so many turn cards is bad. Either kills your action, slows the hand down, or even let's him get there.

Raise and get it in on the flop.
