Interesting spot came up while i was playing $10/20 half and half in a great game. Villan is a bad regular who is pretty weak and definitely on the tighter side. He's probably in his late 40's and when he plays hold'em he is pretty snug but plays enough poker to know when to use his image. In PLO, he is fairly new (as am I) and plays pretty loose/passive (plays a lot of pots but mainly to see flops and mixes between limping in and open raising) preflop and very ABC face-up post flop. Fish in this hand is totally brand new to poker. I will blog about one of the most epic PLO hands I have ever seen with this fish at another time. Just know that he's very loose preflop and like to do a lot of dumb things, but recently has been losing a lot so was a little more cautious with hands.

Villan opens from UTG+1 to $70, I'm in CO and 3bet to $240. Fish in the big blind cold calls the $240. Gets back to Villan and he very quickly reaches for chips and says "Pot" as he makes it $970. Action gets back to me and I would bet car/home/family/life that his hand is some combo of AAXX here with 100% certainty. Question is how much does he need to have behind for me to be flatting the following hands:

I am dealt Ah Qc Jh 5c <--- what I was actually dealt in the hand.
I am dealt Kh Qc Jh Tc
I am dealt Jc Th 9d 7s
I am dealt 4s 5s 6h 7h

I need to be deeper if Fish in bb calls a higher %, so say how deep you would want to be effective if fish flats the 4bet after you flat like 15% of the time vs 85%.

And what do you do if you have something like Ah Ac 9d 5s if your $4k effective preflop?

PLO sickos, plz spew some knowledge upon me. k thx

I dont get how you need to be deeper if fish in the bb calls a higher % of the time
youre gettin 2:1 but theres a very good chance the fish will call in which case your actual odds would be 3:1
so hands 2, 3 and 4 im never foldin even with 100bb startin stacks cuz they have >40% equity vs aces
I wouldnt however 3bet hand3 in the first place cuz having no suit blows in PLO
Hand 1 Im not sure at all

With the shitty aces I guess I just repop and try to get it in
Not sayin gettin it in feels good but thats the option that sucks less imo

My 2 cents

with 4k stacks and only like 750ish to call I'm not folding any of those hands.

I'd feel really stupid with AA95r though, and I probably wouldn't have 3bet in the first place.

Hand 2 and 4 I think are autocalls with 2k or more starting stacks, hand 1 im not sure, probably would need like 500 to 1k more behind. Hand 3 I think I would definitely need at least 3k stacks to start, and a feeling that I had a postflop skill advantage.
