Anyone on here regularly play 1/2+ cap or shallow? I know half the posts in this thread will be shortstack/lolratholer flame, so w/e. Just please try not to derail. =p
fwiw, this is mostly abt the cap games on ftp that are 30bb/hand

I played a session at the airport and really enjoyed it. Kinda want to learn it now.

What kinds of basic adjustments should I make?

Just off the top of my head:
-HU is a shove fest. It's basically the 25/50 stage of a HUSNG with static blinds. I mean you can play post, but the regs seem retardedly bad at dealing with dynamic pfai ranges. Prob diff at 3/6+. Anyone on here reg hu cap regularly?

6m:
-You can't really 3bet standard 9b over 3 b/c you're getting direct odds with anything decent over the 4bet. This means a couple things?

If we open larger, like 3-3.5x, nobody can 3bet bluff with lol wide freqs.
We should 3bet smaller, to like 7.5b over 3? I'm not sure abt this and wanted to know what's the "solved" way to adjust (regarding mostly freqs and sizing).

Any postflop tips would be cool, but I think any 1/2 reg should feel pretty comfortable from playing so many fish.

If anything, you should be able to open smaller

If max buyin is 30bbs, buyin for minimum and shove a lot.

I tried out CAP a year ago and even wrote a guide on it based on things that made sense to me game theory-wise. I don't know how good it is though, I've had it briefly reviewed by some high stakes ftp regs, but they never ended up playing CAP ever so that was useless. I sent it to a few CAP players on LP a year back and asked them to send me updates on how it was but no one replied lol

Ultimately I think CAP is super high variance and it'd take a lot of incentive for me to actually try to make it my main game.
