** Low Stakes Hand of the Week **

This is the first time we have a HOTW selected by our readers. Some of you have been asking for this for a long time and we are glad that the idea worked and the poll had so many votes! The winning hand was played by julep one of our Australian posters. Julep holds 8c3c in a $0.50/$1 6-max game and 3-bets from the button. Villain, the original raiser, calls and both players see the Td9h3h flop. Check-check. The turn brings a 2s and villain check-calls our hero's half-pot bet. Villain checks the 5c river and julep makes another half-pot bet. This time, villain shoves all-in, and puts julep and his 4th pair in a tough spot. But julep knows better and smells something fishy, making a sick call to win a $224 pot!

Julep makes a great play and maximizes his winnings from a marginal hand

Runner-up: The 2nd hand to get more votes was Bluffed1331's Kc6c. Playing a $1/$2 6-handed game, Bluffed opens to $7 and gets two callers. The Jc8c4h flop favors Bluffed by giving him a flush draw. Socialrunner checks, Bluffed bets $15 into $22 and toaster04 makes the call. Socialrunner folds and a 4d falls on the turn. Bluffed adds more money to the pot and toaster04 calls. The river is a 3d, which leaves our hero with just K-high. Bluffed checks and villain fires a 2/3 pot bet. After tanking for some moments, Bluffed decides he has a better hand and makes a great call. Villain turns up 5d7d for a busted gutshot straight draw and Bluffed takes the 137bb pot.

Bluffed takes down a 3-way pot with just K-high

** Tournament Performances **

We often have great tournament performances in our weekly bulletin, but rarely we see something like what happened this week. First, Exhilarate put on a jaw-dropping performance and finished 2nd in the Quarterly $1,000,000, a freeroll for Supernovas on PokerStars. After a deal was discussed, his payout was set for an astonishing $80,747!

sTrAtO did very well too! He final tabled Event #1 of the FTOPS, the $216 No-Limit Hold'em and got himself a $44,991 prize! In addition, sTrAtO also wins a FTP jersey for final tabling one of the FTOPS events! Congratulations to both of you!
