he called the blind in EP hoping that at 9max he would get a 5x pot raise so he can then reraise him with his AA. Then play as follows... he got confused how to play the hand when no one raised. |

This is why one does not make hero calls against passive players at micro ($2 up to $50) or low stakes ($100 and $200) NL. They never shove AI without the nuts...really never! OMG you did not even mini-raise a limper...are you stealing pots with position? |

sit out and move to another table, otherwise they wont respect your limp/calls anymore |

Well I guess if ur not going to respond and try to improve I'm gonna say that this is a terribly played hand. There are so many reasons why limping aa is bad, it's very obvious if people know you are doing it, your hand range from that position should be strong anyways so u should be raising 100%, you allow people to 3b with worse premiums if u open raise, etcetc. With under 200bb stacks there's almost never a reason to limp this. |

sure. on an aggressive table when a lot of people are 200+bb deep, there will be a lot of 3betting when everyone knows you have a wide range EP. It becomes somewhat unprofitable, tricky, and way too high variance to 4bet as on a FR table people's ranges, even their 3betting ranges will be strong enough to call and outplay u postflop, and they can generally adjust their ranges enough to give you a headache. Of course you can always call a 3b but then you are playing a bigger pot with deeper stacks and not only that, you no longer have the betting lead vs a good opponent. There are many other solutions to counter this, but one solution that I have seen successfully employed is to limp your entire EP range, and perhaps limp/call or limp/rr depending on the action behind you and your hand. This strategy becomes better when opponents are more aggressive, and is also better when they are aggressive and don't adjust well and just keep isoing.
hope that helps. |

I truly believe that limping UTG is the optimal strategy in FR. It's just impossible to do well when playing too many tables. |
