I am so heartbroken Barca could not buy Cesc because of debt. They will raise the money but they will have to wait for 6 months I guess. Fabregas is awesome, one of the sickest players around IMO. No wonder Wenger is fighting his teeth not to sell him.
Barca needs someone who can score from that 20-30 meters during the game, like Deco used to do. Iniesta and Xavi are arguably the best midfield pair but during the WC it was obvious they do not have this thing figured out. Like in the final it was Xabi Alonso who took this role in the second half and did it pretty well.
Overall Barca will be even more interesting to watch. Iniesta plays closer to the goal than Xavi, and maybe Cesc could play in the "line" with Xavi. Their formation is sick, because Messi starts as a winger sometimes, so if they put Villa as a striker it becomes mind-boggling, it's like 2.5 forwards and then they substitute someone for, say, Pedro and it becomes 3

I want AC Milan to cut bullshit and buy some decent players. I was hoping for them to buy Villa or Forlan before WC, not gonna happen now. They also need to get a disciple (aka bench) for Pirlo, he won't be around forever.
Damn, that team that won Champions league, Europe super Cup and Clubs World Cup was so beautiful to watch (2006-2007). |

fyp.
And are they all footballers' gf or something like this ?
You said it is gonna be a great season. But I don't think so : in England or Spain, there used to be a competition for the title between 3 - 4 teams. now it is just MU vs Chelsea, and Barca vs Real.
go arsenal, Liverpool, Valencia... and AC Milan, Juventus...
though the champions is gonna be niceeee |

Who's place will Fabregas take? Xavi? Iniesta? Busquets ( / Keita)?
Barcelona use a 4-3-3 formation and need a defensive midfieler behind to creative players. Guardiola is never going to bench Xavi or Iniesta, they are gods in Barcelona.
.................Valdez.....................
Alves - Puyol - Pique - Maxwell
...............Busquets..................
............Xavi-Iniesta.................
Messi.....Ibrahimovic---Villa.... |

They can play 4-3-3 like in Spain with Iniesta behind the two strikers and bench Ibra or they can just free transfer Busquets since he sucks. |

Busquets is a sick hero, don't touch him. He cut Snejder's oxygen in the final, very
very few players can do that. Overall he played pretty well in the WC.
iop you're right; Cesc and Xavi intersect. Pep has told that it would not
be a problem to play Cesc a bit behind, making him a holding midfield. It would be
a pity and I suspect somehow they're not going to do that, he's too good as a playmaker.
They are not going to field Ibra+Villa+Messi in starting XI IMHO, Ibra would go to the bench
and Iniesta could play a bit forward, making space for Cesc to tandem with Xavi. Actually
with Pedro doing so well I don't see why they need Zlatan at all. But as they have kept him
they'll probably play him, most likely as a substitute. Basically having Xavi+Fabregas+Iniesta
means they have a lot of flexibility: they can field 2 of them and later substitute one, or they
can field all three and then swap one for a forward (Pedro, Zlatan) or a holder(Keita) depending on how things go. |

Guardiola told some reporters today (according to swedish news) that he could put villa and messi on each side of Ibra.
It would be a waste to have Fabregas as a Defensive midfielder. It will be the same dilemma as in the national team, the defensive midfielder (xabi alonso) will always be prioritized.
Anyways im moving to barcelona this fall, so i'm longing for the season to begin |

good god, im not a diehard barca fan by any means but they are going to kick some serious ass this season. villa and ibrahimovic up front. no need to even mention their midfield. messi's not too bad either.
i hope chelsea can continue thumping man u, they've gone down hill since selling ronaldo. man city have david silva, yaya toure and jerome boateng so it'll be interesting to see if they can get into the top 4. also be cool to see how liverpool do with new manager and new mindset.

If I were to choose between a Barca season ticket and banging all the chicks from above I'd choose the former.
Anyway I'm planning (more dreaming like) to attend a game @ Camp Nou this year. Will let you know

xavi is like 30 now anyway, fabregas perfect replacement.
be interesting to see how real madrid do this season, with the players mourinho has to play with you'd not be suprised to see them win the league. but then you look at barcelona's lineup and just think how can this team ever lose lol.
as for the prem writing off liverpool/arsenal before its even begun again is kinda unfair. don't get me wrong its been dominated by chelsea/man utd as of late, but nowhere near the kind of dominance seen in la liga where barce/real madrid literally win for fun against all the other teams. arsenal have been right up there till the end last season, and then liverpool season before too.
I think if liverpool keep their star players and now they got joe cole too, they could pose a threat if hodgson can collect a couple more good players together. after taking fulham to the europa league final with their players, who knows what he can do with players like torres!
Arsenal, again if they keep cesc they could do well if van p is on form and stays fit.
then yea you got man city getting stronger consistently by buying anyone remotely good lol, and spurs too.
going to be a really season i think!
