In shorthanded shallow plo, I feel my post flop play is good, but I've been having trouble with weakish high/mid pairs when someone raises shorthanded. Am I supposed to call a pot raise with stuff like 6/7/8/8 one suit, or Q/Q/9/8 one suit? I feel like mucking pre could be throwing away value, but I also never seem to make money when I'm the one calling. Whats the better play? I've tried re-potting it sometimes with the higher pairs with 2 connected, but it isn't the same as re-potting aces. So yeah, help

Muck it out of position, call if you feel like in position. It's one of those 'looks much better than it really is' hands. Double suited is slightly better, against right opponents you might even 3bet but this is very situational.

This is marginal call, hoping to hit a set with backup straight or flush draw or both ...

What I'm saying is ...

in order of importance:

1) position
2. (empty)
3. starting hand
