if anyone is interested in learning the tricks of the sng trade, I will help any small stakes player rise up to at least mid stakes sngs, while being knowledgeable enough to make it to the high stakes on their own. I'm not looking for money for this service, and I will only help small stakes players for several reasons: One, if you are not playing small/micro then I would consider taking on select clients on a pay basis TBD, but this is not my purpose here, and for the most part, you guys are on your own... oh and btw if I get my wish I'm gonna fill your waters with little barracuda just for shiggles.
I love to teach, and I have learned a great deal of new information when trying to explain concepts to beginners so that is my only benefit in this deal.
Level me all you want when I discuss cash game strategy and to a lesser degree, MTT strat (18.6% cash 3% top 3 - small (200 game current sample). I have been playing online for 7+ years, and turned my first $0 bankroll into $8 in a freeroll, and then 20k playing almost strictly sngs (I had one big score in a $500 hu tournament, and probably 1k in other small tourney cashes). I kept growing my account continuously, despite many gaps in my sng knowledge. Once I began playing the $200s, my learning curved skewed sharply, since I was able to watch/analyze the best sng player around. I still had several leaks, but the things I discovered in those games were quite invaluable. Maturity has done the rest, along with discussions with some of today's better players, and of course forums/articles. The games are a lot tougher these days, but they are still profitable (especially at the lower/micro stakes).
Keep in mind I would work around my schedule, but I am pretty flexible. Most material is pre written (early edits of bits of a book I may or may not finish), but I also tailor lessons to the individual where needed.
Current ROI is 10% over 2500 and change games. Specifics and graphs can be supplied to any student I accept to prove my claims, but I don't poast things like that since only one person has the right to brag (and it certainly isn't me) and based on the numbers I used to run before the games got harder, 10% is pretty embarrassing (when I judge myself).
Anyone interested toss me an email.
If you are a cash game or MTT specialist looking to try sngs, realize you are a BEGINNER. Sngs really are a completely different breed of animal, and while seemingly simple, without knowing many sng specific concepts, you are dead money in today's games... if you want to dispute that fact, I urge you to sharkscope gavin smith's ft sng graph. In fact, do it even if you don't dispute this fact, it's not only enlightening, but highly enjoyable.
Also, I don't teach husngs. Despite winning a hu tournament and being a liftime winner in husngs, I do not feel confident that I am knowledgeable enough to teach them, so I leave that to the husng experts.
