Villain is winning TAG reg who plays pretty well. He's also a pretty good hand reader. But he makes plays here and there without being concerned about what he's repping. I also think he's aware that i'm a huge multitabler across two sites.

This hand happened about an hr ago.

You are way too deep to ship here and you pretty much repping one hand and he can have and call with a few, suck it up imo, cant win them all.

I like to raise this flop, because you most likely get to the river by your own bet size and in control of the pot/the pot is bigger when you nail your flush, even if he reraises here you are in great shape because you can call and still be repping a monster or a draw

is villian flatting QQ/KK from the blinds this deep? hand #1 you make a super small gay button steal (5 handed) SB calls and he dosnt squeeze TT 110bb deep :0 would suggest he dosn't wanna build big pots OOP preflop . Not betting the turns makes any river shove looks awfully suspicious, although its not terrible since he defended the SB comared to BB he wont have those hands in his range himself.
On that note I think betting turn is way superior to any river bluffshove, esp since we opened UTG+1 our range is very strong for betting on this board texture

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

Yea, I tangle with this guy a ton and he would never think i would flat here with fd. He also thinks i'm very bluffy so at the time flat > raise on flop for me.

Pretty sure he'd flat QQ most the time but I'm not sure about KK. I agree on the turn bet being a better line but with how the hand played, i don't see him having A4/46 on the river(i think). I mean who donks with A4/46 and checks the turn? Maybe he could've been planning a check raise. Either way, I can't see anyone capable of hand reading calling off a shove with a set here

You're pretty much only repping 46 or maaaybe 22 and I doubt you'd shove with 22 here for value anyway because he's not calling with worse. Either way I think the river bluff doesn't work that often anyway (your first bet of $78). I just don't think when he donks flop he's gonna fold river all that much.

That said because you did bet $78 he probably thinks your valuebetting light a shitton here (like any queen that you floated with or maybe JJ/TT or w/e) and given his tendency to make terrible bluffraises I don't think it's bad to 3bet bluff. I don't think you have to shove though, you can make it like 780ish and guarantee the same result. What I mean to say is that you don't need to raise much because your bluff is only meant to make sure he folds his air and any raise will do unless he's so sick that he 4bet bluffs over you lol, but I doubt that.

With his line prior to the river he's repping flush draw/midpairish type of hands anyway and with his line I think the only valuehand for him to make sense is A4cc/46cc and that's 2 combos and I think he's gonna double barrel those anyway because the draw is so strong.

Yea small raise works well, he's probably totally full of it. Not sure what he can have for value except for some random sets though.

NMcNasty    United States. Apr 25 2010 23:26. Posts 2041

yeah raise flop all day, bet turn all day

as played I don't like the river bet and dont like a river 3bet. A 2 isn't such a blank when villain can easily be donkbetting flop with A4s or 22. Also with the first hand posted it seems villain has a propensity for tricky but fishy plays, which usually translates to having a pretty high hero-calling frequency. You don't want to rely on a my nothing vs ur nothing game vs that type of player.

Semi-bluff and value-bet this fish into the ground, but I generally wouldn't be pure-bluffing except on really threatening rivers.

if you are going to play this hand this way id just give up on the river, esp since you know he can c/r bluff a decent amount of the time.
